Zibai's Stat Priority
Zibai’s best stats to build around are DEF and CRIT, with Elemental Mastery also being useful but generally a lower priority than DEF. A Geo DMG Goblet is not recommended, as it does not contribute to Lunar-Crystallize damage.
In situations where Zibai is using a DEF-focused weapon and is paired with multiple Geo teammates, particularly characters such as Gorou who provide additional DEF buffs, an Elemental Mastery Sands can become a viable alternative. However, in most cases, a DEF Sands and DEF Goblet remain the preferred choices for maximizing Zibai’s overall damage.
Recommended Stats for Zibai
Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Zibai's best free to play weapon, Flute of Ezpitzal. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.
Zibai's Talent Priority
Zibai's most important talents to level are her Elemental Skill and then Elemental Burst. Zibai's Basic Attacks can be ignored for the most part.
How to Play Zibai
Zibai is a main on-field DPS and should be kept on the field for as much of her rotation as possible to maximize her damage output. Her playstyle revolves around managing her Elemental Skill, Heaven and Earth Made Manifest, and generating a special resource called Phase Shift Radiance.
After casting her Elemental Skill, Zibai’s Normal Attacks become infused with Geo and begin generating Phase Shift Radiance. Zibai can store up to 100 Phase Shift Radiance points, which are used to unleash her enhanced Elemental Skill. Using the enhanced skill consumes 70 points at once to deal a powerful Lunar-Crystallize strike. Casting her initial Elemental Skill immediately grants 10 Phase Shift Radiance.
Zibai’s rotation is extremely straightforward. Activate her Elemental Skill, then continuously use Normal Attacks to generate Phase Shift Radiance until her enhanced skill becomes available. Once unlocked, cast the enhanced skill and repeat this process until her Skill duration ends. In a full rotation, Zibai can typically perform up to four enhanced skill casts. Swapping out too early can result in missed enhanced casts and a significant damage loss.
Zibai’s Elemental Burst can be used either at the beginning or at the end of her rotation. In Spiral Abyss content, it is generally recommended to use her Burst at the start of the rotation, as this provides more time to recover Energy for subsequent rotations.
Zibai generates Phase Shift Radiance through multiple sources. Her Normal and Charged Attacks generate 5 points per hit, while triggering a Lunar-Crystallize reaction instantly grants 35 points. As a result, triggering just two Lunar-Crystallize reactions is enough to fully charge her enhanced skill, making reaction uptime a key part of her optimal playstyle.
