Kinich's Best Teams & Character Synergies
Welcome to our Kinich in-depth team guide. In this guide, we will cover everything related to Kinich’s synergies, best teammates, F2P options, and optimal team compositions to maximize his Burning-focused playstyle.
Best Pairings and Synergies With Kinich
Kinich is a Burning-focused Dendro DPS whose kit revolves around triggering Burning to fill his Nightsoul bar and access enhanced Skill damage. Because of this, you always want to pair him with at least one Pyro character to maintain consistent Burning uptime.
You should also play Kinich with another Nightsoul character to activate his passive Flame Spirit Pact. While his kit requires Burning to function, Kinich himself does not deal Burning damage. His damage is purely Dendro, meaning Elemental Mastery has very low value. Instead, you should prioritize ATK, Dendro DMG Bonus, and Dendro RES Shred to maximize his personal damage.
Emilie is one of the best sub-DPS options for Kinich teams. Since Kinich constantly triggers Burning, Emilie synergizes perfectly as her damage also scales around Burning interactions, significantly increasing overall team DPS.
Lauma on the other hand functions more as a dedicated buffer rather than a sub-DPS. She provides 25% Dendro RES Shred, can hold TTDS for additional ATK buffs, and can equip Deepwood Memories for further Dendro resistance reduction. Compared to Emilie’s damage-focused role, Lauma offers a more complete supportive package for Kinich.
Mavuika is the strongest Pyro partner for Kinich. She provides consistent off-field Pyro application for stable Burning uptime, while also granting up to 40% damage bonus through her Burst. She can additionally hold Cinder City to further amplify Kinich’s damage.
Durin is another excellent Pyro option, providing Dendro resistance reduction and off-field damage for Kinich. He becomes especially strong when paired with another Hexerei member such as Klee holding TTDS, further boosting Kinich’s overall team damage.
Outside of Mavuika, Kinich has multiple Pyro alternatives. Pyro Traveler is a solid F2P option with off-field Pyro and Scroll utility. Xiangling is excellent in Burgeon-heavy teams due to her strong Pyro application. Dehya can hold Tenacity for ATK buffs while providing interruption resistance and consistent Pyro uptime. Thoma is another reliable off-field Pyro applicator who can equip Noblesse for additional ATK buffs.
Since Kinich scales primarily with ATK and gains large amounts of damage bonus from Cinder City and his signature weapon, additional ATK buffs are extremely valuable. Bennett and Iansan are among the best 4-star options, especially when holding Noblesse Oblige to further amplify Kinich’s damage output.
