Welcome to our Valeriy build guide for Genshin Impact. Valeriy is an Electro Sword support character mainly designed for Stellar Conduct teams.

Valeriy works best alongside Electro DPS characters such as Mitya and Cyno. His main role is to increase Electro DMG and Electro DMG that is considered Stellar Conduct DMG based on his ATK, while also providing a strong Electro shield and consistent off-field Electro application.

Best Weapons for Valeriy

Listed below are Valeriy's best weapons for his support build. His weapon choices mainly focus on maximizing ATK while maintaining enough Energy Recharge to use his Burst consistently.

Increases Shield Strength by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

Energy Recharge: 55.1%

CRIT Rate increased by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s.

After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness' effect cannot stack.

CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.

4-Piece Set: Increases the equipping character's ATK by 12% for 12s when they trigger a Stellar Glimmer reaction or deal Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG. Also increases Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG dealt by all nearby party members by 50%. The above effects can trigger even when the equipping character is not on the field, and he DMG bonus from multiple Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.

Valeriy should primarily stack ATK because his shield and support buffs scale from it. Energy Recharge should be added until he can comfortably use his Burst every rotation.

Recommended Stats for Valeriy

Valeriy's Talent Priority

Valeriy's Elemental Skill should be leveled first because it strengthens his ATK-scaling Electro Shield, making it the most important talent for his support role.

His Normal Attack should be leveled next because it improves Mortar Fire: Close-Range Barrage and the base damage bonuses associated with Assault Command. His Elemental Burst has lower priority, as talent levels mainly improve Valeriy's personal damage.

How to Play Valeriy

Valeriy is primarily an Electro support for Stellar Conduct teams. His kit provides a strong Electro shield, off-field Electro application, and buffs to Electro DMG and Electro DMG that is considered Stellar Conduct DMG based on his ATK.

His basic rotation is Elemental Skill into Elemental Burst, followed by a Charged Attack before swapping to the next character. Using his Charged Attack every rotation is important because it activates Offensive Directive, further increasing Electro DMG and Electro DMG that is considered Stellar Conduct DMG.

His Elemental Skill activates his shield, while his Elemental Burst provides off-field Electro application. Because of this, you generally want to use his Skill, Burst, and Charged Attack every rotation to activate the important parts of his kit.

Valeriy's Best Constellations

Valeriy works at lower constellations, but C2, C4, and C6 provide his most important support upgrades.

C2 provides 100 Elemental Mastery to the entire team while also significantly improving Valeriy's shield strength, making him a much stronger sustain option.

C4 increases Valeriy's maximum Charge and Charge generation, allowing him to access his enhanced attacks and support effects more consistently.

C6 is his strongest constellation. It increases his personal damage while also increasing the CRIT Rate of Electro DMG by 10%. If that Electro DMG is considered Stellar Conduct DMG, its CRIT DMG is also increased by 40%, making C6 a major upgrade for Electro Stellar Conduct teams.
