Rin Tohsaka can be played as either a sub-DPS or a main DPS. Like Archer and Qingque, she consumes Skill Points to deal high amounts of DMG. When paired with Archer, Rin provides numerous buffs to both Archer and herself. She also has a unique ability that activates when Archer's Skill Point consumption leaves the team with 3 or fewer Skill Points. When this condition is met, Rin and Archer launch a Joint ATK against all enemies and replenish Skill Points.

Rin also gains Gem Energy whenever Skill Points are generated or consumed. She uses Gem Energy to deal high amounts of DMG with her Enhanced Skill. When she uses this ability, Rin consumes Skill Points until only 2 remain.

When played with Archer, Rin offers poor returns from vertical investment. With this in mind, staying at E0S0 is cost-efficient. However, those who want to invest further should aim for E2S1. Her E1 and E2 increase her DMG, while her S1 increases her personal DMG and grants DEF Ignore to the whole team.
