On this page, you will find out the optimal PvE stat priority for your Restoration Druid in Mists of Pandaria Classic. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations.

1.

Stat Priority for Restoration Druid

The stat priority for RestorationRestoration Druid is as follows:

  1. Intellect
  2. Haste (to a breakpoint)
  3. Spirit
  4. Mastery
  5. Critical Strike
  6. Haste (outside breakpoints)
1.1.

Intellect

Intellect is the primary stat you will be focusing on as a Restoration Druid as it is the only way to increase your Spell Power which is what your heals scale off of. Every item you will be seeking will have this stat, meaning that you don't need to think about it more than normal.

1.2.

Spirit

Spirit increases your Mana Regeneration and is a highly desired stat, allowing you to ensure that you are able to cast spells consistently throughout a fight. At times where you are being very aggressive with your mana and still can't find yourself using all of it, Spirit may decrease in value slightly.

1.3.

Haste

Haste Rating is the best secondary stat for RestorationRestoration as it allows you to quickly push out heals and make them tick more times within their total duration, as long as you are inside a breakpoint. The main downside of Haste is the added Mana costs derived from casting more frequently. Make sure you have enough Spirit to support the amount of Haste you have to avoid running out of Mana before a fight has ended.

There are two main break points that you will want to decide between: 3043 and 5176. Choosing which breakpoint to go for will largely come down to your gear. Currently, you are likely to find yourself somewhere between the 3043 and 5176 breakpoints. QuestionablyEpic can help you to choose between these breakpoints based on what gear you have available. If you can easily reach 5176 without sacrificing other stats like Intellect, then you will want to do that. In the event that your gear lacks Haste and you can't achieve 5176, you will often be better off dropping a bit of Haste and playing for the 3043 breakpoint. Any haste between the breakpoints is less effective than other stats which is why we recommend consulting QuestionablyEpic to help you optimize your gear. Later into the expansion, the target breakpoint will change as you gain more access to stats through higher item level gear.

1.4.

Mastery

Mastery provides you with Harmony Icon Harmony, which increases the healing done by your direct healing spells Regrowth Icon Regrowth, Nourish Icon Nourish, Healing Touch Icon Healing Touch, and Swiftmend Icon Swiftmend and casting one of these spells will increase the healing of your HoTs for 20 seconds. While not being as good as Haste, you will want to maintain this buff as much as possible.

1.5.

Critical Strike

Critical Strike is not a super powerful stat and you will generally find yourself reforging out of this stat and into Spirit, Haste, or even Mastery in rare occassions.
