Haniel Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Haniel build guide for Neverness to Everness. Haniel is an A-Rank Solid Character available in Neverness to Everness who utilizes the Psyche element.

In our Haniel guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Haniel, from building the best gear and weapons, to important skill priorities and combos.

Haniel's Best Arcs

Blow up the Crowd M1
ATK - 512
ATK - 27.5%

Beat King

Increases the active character's ATK by 10% while the wearer is off-field, and increases the active character's ATK by 2% when the wearer deals damage, up to 4 stacks and triggering at most once every 2s. Resets the effect when the wearer becomes the active character.
Increases Psyche DMG by 12% while the wearer is the active character, and increases Psyche DMG by 2% when dealing Psyche DMG with a Basic Attack, up to 10 stacks. Triggers at most once every 0.3s. Resets the effect when switching characters.
Blow up the Crowd is Haniel's best Arc. As an Attack-scaling support character, she greatly benefits from the Attack % substat. Thanks to her Skill providing not only a buff to other characters, but also allowing her to do off-field damage, she is able to take full advantage of the first half of the Arc Effect, which will help boost her ATK to further buff the on-field character. As a Psyche Esper she also benefits from the second half of the Arc Effect increasing her own personal damage, whether it is to use her Skill or Ultimate to refresh her buff.
Hethereau's Keeper M1
ATK - 512
ATK - 27.5%

Justice Executioner

Increases ATK by 15%.
Increases damage dealt to Bosses by 15%.
Unlocks Arc: Officer Whisker.
Arc: Officer Whisker — Summons Officer Whisker to assist in combat. Officer Whisker continuously attacks enemies, dealing 100% of the wearer's ATK as damage per hit. Lasts 30s. Cooldown: 60s.
Hethereau's Keeper is another great option for Haniel, especially if you want to prioritize her personal damage rather than her team buffing. Just like with Blow up the Crowd, it has a strong Attack % substat helping her team buffing. Additionally the Arc provides her with a large amount of personal damage boosts, especially against bosses, through its Arc Effect. The Officer Whisker summon will also scale well with her high Attack.
The Forgotten M5
ATK - 475
HP - 25%

Picture Frame

Increases ATK by 20% when the wearer’s HP is above 50%; increases DEF by 20% when HP is below 50%.
The Forgotten is a solid A-rank option. While this Arc does not have an Attack % substat to help her support capabilities, it does provide her with more survivability, with an HP % increase as well as a Defense % increase at lower HP. With Haniel mostly being played off-field, it is quite easy to get the ATK % buff by being above 50% HP.
First Step to Success M5
ATK - 380
ATK - 20%

Noros

Increases wearer's ATK by 12% for 10s when casting a Redirect Skill. Triggers up to once every 20s.
First Step to Success is an easily accessible B-rank Arc for Haniel. The Attack % substat is very helpful for her team-buffing and damage, while the Attack increase from the Arc effect further increases her personal damage. The biggest downside to using this Arc is that as a B-rank Arc its base Attack and Attack % bonuses are both considerably lowers than alternative Arcs of higher rarity.

Best Console Setups for Haniel

Haniel's Console bonus is a 10% Attack bonus for every Type III Module. Haniel has two possible build options for her Console, both focusing heavily on providing the team with ATK buffs.
Speedy Hedgehog

2-piece: Epic (2): Charge Efficiency +12%.
4-piece: Legendary (4): Increases all allies' ATK by 15% for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. Effect does not stack.
Speedy Hedgehog is a great cartridge to use with Haniel as it provides an additional Attack buff to her allies whenever she uses her Ultimate, and helps her charge her Ultimate to use it more often. This cartridge only requires Type III Modules, meaning she can run the full set effect while also gaining her maximum console bonus of 60% Attack. It is important to note that the 4-piece set effect cannot stack, so if you are running a team with a character such as Sakiri who is also a good user of Speedy Hedgehog, it is best if only one Esper uses this specific cartridge. Below is an example setup with the maximum bonus for Haniel.

2-piece: Epic (2): Charge Efficiency +12%.
4-piece: Legendary (4): Increases all allies' ATK by 15% for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. Effect does not stack.
Devil's Blood: Curse

2-piece: Epic (2): Psyche DMG +10%.
4-piece: Legendary (4): Increases wearer's DMG by 18%. The bonus becomes 36% against units affected by Nova or Stain.
Devil's Blood: Curse is a great alternative for Haniel if you cannot use Speedy Hedgehog and can be built in two ways. it is recommended to maximize her buffing capability by only using the 2-piece bonus. It is possible to fit 6 Type III and 1 Type II Module in this two Module setup granting a total bonus of 60% attack in addition to the Psyche DMG bonus of the set effect. Alternatively, for her personal damage you can run her with a 4-piece setup allowing her to gain the full set bonus. in this setup you can also add 2 more Type III and 1 additional Type II. Shown below is an example setup of Haniel running the two piece for maximum attack bonus.

Haniel's Stat Priority

Cartridge Mainstat Priority: ATK % > Psyche DMG % > CRIT
Substat Priority: ATK % > ATK > CRIT > Universal DMG %

Because her buff is based on her own Attack value, it is best to prioritize gaining as many Attack increases as possible. After Attack, CRIT and Universal damage bonuses are good to prioritize for her personal damage contribution.

Haniel's Skill Priority

Skill > Ultimate > Basic Attack > Support Skill

Chances are, if you're playing Haniel you do so to get the most out of her supporting capabilities. Both her Skill and Ultimate provide a team-wide ATK% bonus, which scales with the level of the ability. You therefore want to increase it over her Basic Attack or Support Skill, to fully leverage her team-support potential.

Haniel's Awakening Priority

If you have one or multiple copies of a character, you will be able to select Awakenings of your choosing. The following is a recommendation of what order to generally select for Haniel's Awakenings. Remember that you can switch them at any time to try out different ones, or tailor your choices for a specific fight or situation.

Awakening Unlock Order Explanation
Legendary! The g'old back row window seat!
(A2)
This Awakening should be your first priority, as it increases her Skill's duration, allowing her to have her ATK buff on her team for longer.
Finale! For the coming dawn!
(A6)
Her second recommended Awakening is her A6, which decreases her Skill's cooldown. When combined with Haniel's A2, they reduce her minimum buff downtime from 12 seconds to only 4 seconds.
New here! Genius transfer student reporting in!
(A1)
This is her next recommended Awakening, as it increases the number of ricochets of her Paranormal Cannon, allowing her attack to hit more enemies. It is not as useful against single-targets.
Assemble! The hero team is formed!
(A3)
This Awakening increases her CRIT Chance during her Ultimate state, improving her personal damage.
Crisis! Shattering trust!
(A5)
While she is in her Ultimate state, this Awakening increases her Psyche DMG. Similar to her A3, this does a lot to help improve her own damage during her Ultimate.
Seaside! Beach episode!
(A4)
Her A4 is the last recommended Awakening to unlock. While it increases her damage in her Ultimate state similarly to her A3 and A5, it is much more rotation dependent. The damage boost requires her to be the only one triggering Ensemble, which can be difficult to play around for maximum damage potential during rotations.

How to Play Haniel

Haniel's is a buff-support character who is largely played off-field. She does best with quick rotations, switching on-field to refresh her buff, use her Paranormal Cannon Basic Attack, and her Ultimate, if available, before being swapped out again.

Once the game has launched, and we had an opportunity to play around with all the characters, we will be updating this section with more specific rotational advice and how to set up specific combos for Esper Cycles or burst windows!
