Iroi Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Iroi build guide for Neverness to Everness. Iroi is an S-Rank Liquid Character available in Neverness to Everness who utilizes the Anima element.

In our Iroi guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of her, from building the best gear and weapons, to important stat priorities and combos.

Disclaimer! The details below are a combination of content showcased in the 1.2 Live Stream, Datamining, and our own knowledge of the game. While we feel confident in the presented information, and team and gear recommendations, things are subject to change until the character officially launches.

Iroi's Best Arcs

The Wrong Gate (Iroi Signature) M1
ATK - 570
ATK % - 30%

Passive Effect

Increases ATK by 16%
When applying a healing effect, grants 30% Anima damage to self, and 15% all DMG to all allies for 20s. Duration refreshes when triggered again.
Iroi's Signature Arc will be her best in slot, as it grants her a large amount of Attack and Anima damage, increasing her personal damage greatly. In addition, the all DMG buff to the entire team makes is a valuable support Arc for any team she is in.
Fluff of Fleetness M1
ATK - 512
CRIT DMG - 44%

Motor Candy

Increases 5% ATK every 1s while the wearer is the active character, up to 5 stacks. Resets when the wearer leaves the field.
Fluff of Fleetness is a good alternative Arc for Iroi for her own personal damage, providing her with a good amount of CRIT DMG and attack as long as she is on field.
Youthful Fantasy M1
ATK - 570
ATK - 30%

"Black Tome"

Increases Break Intensity by 60.
Seals Arc: Black Tome with two chains by default. Unleashes 1 chain each time any character on the team casts a Support Skill. Makes Arc: Black Tome available when all two chains are unleashed.
Arc: Black Tome — Summons the Black Tome for 20s. Designates an enemy every 5s. Increases the wearer's Chaos DMG dealt to designated enemies by 20%. Deals Chaos DMG equal to 200% of the wearer's ATK to designated enemies when they take Break Damage.
Youthful Fantasy is another good S rank Arc for Iroi. This Arc provides her with an ATK and ATk% substat on par with her Signature. The break Intensity, while not that useful for her as she is not built around break, does help with the damage an enemy takes when they are broken. However, the Black Tome summon is not as useful for Iroi, as she doesn't benefit from the increased Chaos DMG. Since we expect that she wants to stack very high Attack, that will help with the damage the Black Tome does when an enemy breaks, at least.
Clear Skies M5
ATK - 475
ATK - 25%

Paper Squadron

Increases Anima DMG dealt by the wearer's Redirect Skill and Ultimate by 20%.
Clear Skies is Iroi's best A rank option. Similarly to her Signature Arc, this Arc provides her with an ATK% Substat and a good amount of Base ATK, though less than an S rank. At Mixin-level 5, the Anima bonus given by Clear Skies is greater than the Anima bonus of her M1 Signature, however it only affects her Skill and Ultimate, while her Signature improves all her Anima DMG.

Best Console Setups for Iroi

Iroi gains a 10% ATK Bonus for each Type III Module equipped

Speedy Hedgehog
Speedy Hedgehog cartridge icon+L-shape (variant 1)L-shape (variant 2)L-shape (variant 3)L-shape (variant 4)
2-piece: Epic (2): Charge Efficiency +12%.
4-piece: Legendary (4): Increases all allies' ATK by 15% for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. Effect does not stack.

Speedy Hedgehog is a great Cartridge for Iroi, as she is a support Esper. The increased Ultimate charge helps her use her Ult more often, providing the team with either healing more often, if using Dream of the Horned Gate, or her ultimate damage and character resurrection, if using Dream of the Ivory Gate. Additionally, the team will benefit from the increased ATK whenever she uses her ultimate, making her not only a great healer, but also a potent DPS-support when paired with her signature Arc.

We will be updating this section with an example console setup in the near future.

Iroi's Stat Priority

We will be updating Iroi's stat priority for her main and sub stats closer to the character's release!

Iroi's Skill Priority

Skill > Ultimate > Basic Attack > Support Skill

Iroi's main source of healing comes from her Skill, which also doubles as a great source of damage, meaning this should be her first priority. Her Ultimate also provides both damage and healing and should be the next priority. Following that, her Basic Attack should be prioritized over her Support Skill, and neither will see much use.

Iroi's Awakening Priority

If you have one or multiple copies of a character, you will be able to select Awakenings of your choosing. Remember that you can switch them at any time to try out different ones, or tailor your choices for a specific fight or situation.

Once the character has been available for testing and play, we will be updating our Awakening selection recommendations for Iroi!

How to Play Iroi

Iroi is a support character providing both healing and buffs to the team. She's able to heal her team with either her support skill or one of her Ultimate versions - Dream of the Horned Gate.

Her kit is built around building Imagination with her Basic Attack, tapped Skill, and Support Skill. This resource is then used to either do a stronger held Basic Attack, or an enhanced Ultimate (Dream of the Ivory Gate) if she has built sufficient Imagination.

This enhanced Ultimate not only heals the team and does damage to enemies in a large area, but also temporarily resurrects downed teammates in exchange for continuously draining imagination.

Her Skill can be held to put her teammates into the Regression state, allowing them to do damage while also gaining a portion of her offensive stats. If any teammates fall in battle, they also enter the Regression state, which is required for her enhanced Ultimate to resurrect them temporarily.

As we learn more about how Iroi functions we will update this with more information.
