Welcome to our Dialyn build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Dialyn is a unique S-Rank Physical Stun Agent who can convert Chain Attacks into Ultimates. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Dialyn, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.

Dialyn's Best W-Engines

Listed below are Dialyn's best W-Engines. While W-Engines are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Dialyn can vary slightly depending on your team composition and investment you have available.

While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 1.5/1.7/1.9/2.1/2.3/s. When the equipper deals Physical DMG with an EX Special Attack, the Daze dealt by the equipper's attacks increases by 9/10.3/11.7/13/14.5% for 10s, stacking up to 3 times. At 3 stacks, all squad members gain 30/34.5/39/43.5/48% additional CRIT DMG for 40s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Only one instance of this CRIT DMG boost effect can exist in the same squad.

Upon launching a Quick Assist or Perfect Assist, the equipper's Impact increases by 25/28.75/32.5/36.25/40% for 8s. When the equipper launches and hits an enemy with a Basic Attack, apply Wilt to the target for 30s, stacking up to 20 times, repeated triggers reset the duration. When any squad member hits an enemy, for every stack of Wilt applied to the target, the CRIT DMG of the Ice DMG and Fire DMG dealt by that attack increases by 1.5/1.72/1.95/2.17/2.4%. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.

When using an EX Special Attack, the equipper's Impact is increased by 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% for 10s, stacking up to 2 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

The Daze dealt by the equipper's EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, and Ultimate increases by 28/32.2/36.4/40.6/44.8%.
When using a Chain Attack or Ultimate to deal Fire DMG, the DMG dealt by all squad members increases by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16%, stacking up to 2 times and lasting 30s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. Triggers once per use of a skill. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.

Spectral Gaze

When the equipper's Aftershock hits an enemy, causing Electric DMG, the target's DEF is reduced by 25/28.75/32.5/36.25/40% for 5s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. When this effect is triggered, if the equipper is not the active character, they gain 1 stack of Spirit Lock, up to a maximum of 3 stacks. This can trigger only once per use of a skill. Each stack of Spirit Lock increases the equipper's Impact by 4/4.6/5.2/5.8/6.4%, lasting 12s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. At full stacks of Spirit Lock, the equipper's Impact increases by an additional 8/9.2/10.4/11.6/12.8%.

Six Shooter

The equipper gains 1 Charge stack every 3s, stacking up to 6 times. When launching an EX Special Attack, consumes all Charge stacks and each stack consumed increases the skill's Daze inflicted by 4/4.6/5.2/5.8/6.4%.

Steam Oven

For every 10 Energy accumulated, the equipper's Impact is increased by 2/2.3/2.6/2.9/3.2%, stacking up to 8 times. After Energy is consumed, this bonus remains for 8 more seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

Precious Fossilized Core

When the target's HP is no lower than 50%, the equipper inflicts 10/11.5/13/14.5/16% more Daze to the target. When the target's HP is no lower than 75%, this bonus is further increased by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16%.

Box Cutter

Upon launching an Aftershock, the equipper's Physical DMG increases by 15/17.3/19.5/21.8/24%, and Daze increases by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16%, lasting 10s.

Best Drive Discs for Dialyn

King of the Summit

2-Piece Set: Increases Daze of attacks by 6%
4-Piece Set: When the equipper is a Stun character and uses an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack, increases CRIT DMG of all squad members by 15%, and when the equipper's CRIT Rate is more than or equal to 50%, further increases CRIT DMG by 15%, lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.

Dialyn's Stat Priority

When building Dialyn, CRIT Rate is the most important stat to build around because of Dialyn's core passive which converts any CRIT Rate into Impact. Aiming to get as close to 100% is therefore ideal but 100% exactly is not required.

For Dialyn's Disc 6, Energy Regen is the way to go to ensure you can reliably build up Positive Review stacks without hitting the bosses stun window early. Impact may cause you to stun too quickly due to using less EX Specials and having a lower field time meaning you do not get to give your Main DPS their free Ultimate.

Dialyn's Skill Priority

Dialyn's most important skills to level are her Core Skill, EX Special Attack and Ultimate. The importance of Dialyn's Basic Attack can depend on how much you plan to weave it between EX Specials, but is is still recommended to level. It is rare that you will use Dialyn's Dodge so feel free to leave that as low as you want.

How to Play Dialyn

Positive Reviews & Customer Complaints

Dialyn has several mechanics and resources that need to be managed. These are her Positive Review meter and the Customer Complaint indicator. Positive Reviews can be seen by the bar while Customer Complaint is the singular dot. Positive Reviews cap at 120 with the notch indicating when Dialyn is at 90 points for this resource.

Dialyn passively gains 0.6 Positive Reviews every second while on-field and most importantly also gains 7.5 Reviews for each use of her EX Specials. Dialyn then gains 1 Customer Complaint when she hits 90 Reviews, or when Dialyn ults.

Customer Complaints are then used for Dialyn's EX Special Attack: Get Lost! when holding a Basic Attack and enables a Quick Assist.

Converting Chain Attacks Into Ultimates

Dialyn has the ability to upgrade another Agents Chain Attack into an Ultimate. This can happen when Dialyn has 90 Positive Reviews and then:

• Triggers a Chain Attack window using Welcome Mat, Get Lost! or Forward Call then consumes 60 Positive Reviews while upgrading to an Ultimate.
• When Get Lost! doesn't trigger a Chain Attack she instead consumes 90 Posiitve Reviews to upgrade the Chain Attack to an Ultimate.

Main Combos for Dialyn

For Dialyn to extend the stun duration of the enemy, Dialyn needs to complete all 3 stages of her Rock, Scissors, Paper EX Special Attack chain so it is important to make sure you have enough energy for all 3 attacks.

Additionally, you can weave in 2 Basic Attacks between EX1(Rock) and EX2(Scissors) which can be beneficial. It produces more Daze and more energy for Dialyn while increasing her field time meaning she can generate more Positive Reviews. But Dialyn's Basic Attacks should be ignored if you do not need the energy or Positive Reviews as it keeps your stunner on-field for longer than needed. Therefore Dialyn has 2 main combos:

• Short ComboEX1 > EX2 > EX3
• Long ComboEX1 > B1 > BE2 > EX2 > B3 > B4 > EX3

Which combo you should use depends on the fight and if Dialyn needs more resources.

Dialyn's Best Mindscapes

Dialyn overall has great Mindscapes with Dialyn's M1 allowing you to build up Positive Reviews faster and means that you can have 2 converted ultimates in a stun window or at the very least provides a lot of comfort. Dialyn's M2 is great but is a simple damage bonus making it still good but less significant of an upgrade over M1.
