Everything We Know About Zenless Zone Zero Season 2 (Patch 2.0)

Zenless Zone Zero Season 2 is packed with various new content, modifications, and adjustments. At the same time, we also celebrate the game's first Anniversary! Season Two marks the start of a brand-new story Arc. After managing to resolve the Sacrifice Serum crisis alongside the Phantom Thieves syndicate Mockingbird, and unexpectedly start to control the power laying dormant within the Phaethon siblings, we're finally heading to a new place.

Our goal: learn to control this new power, and find out more about it! But for this, we need the help of Yixuan!

Yixuan is the leader and thirteenth-generation High Preceptor of Yunkui Summit. This leads us to a brand-new location: the Waifei Peninsula.

The Waifei Peninsula is located outside of New Eridu, right next to the Lemnian Hollow. Waifei Peninsula also has its own distinct culture and landscapes. The Proxies will be heading to Failume Heights, the new city.

Failume heights sits on the coastal cliffs of Waifei Peninsula. It started as a small residential town outside the Lemnian Island's Aerospace City. After the Aerospace City was devoured by a Hollow, it became a settlement built around the Porcelume mining hub. Failume Heights is now a crucial hub overlooking Porcelume production!

Porcelume is an extremely precious material. The Waifei Peninsula happens to be an abundant source of Lumite ores, which are refined to create Porcelume. Due to its exceptional rigidity and anti-corruption properties, it's widely used in military equipment and Hollow exploration gear throughout New Eridu. It is the key industry of Waifei Peninsula! Large deposits of Porcelum can also be found along the coast and underground. Raw Lumite ores are sometimes even kept by the locals as a decorative charm to ward off evil and attract wealth.

You can fond the Procelume Market in Failume Heights, selling unique Porcelume handicrafts. Various other shops are also located there!

Failume Heights is basically your new hub instead of Sixth Street. You will be able to find your usual Coffee Shop, food stand, and even a little pop-up Video Store shop! This allows you to complete all your dailies without having to teleport back to Sixth Street!

A new daily activity will replace Howl's News Stand: Fortune reading with A-Shuo. You can now pick each day whether you want to go back to Howl, or visit A-Shuo!

When visiting A-Shuo, you can shake a small turtle which will reveal three dices. Depending on the divination results, you will get different rewards!

Of course, as mentioned before, Proxies will also meet new friends in the Waifei Peninsula!

Zenless Zone Zero Season Two will welcome the following brand-new agents:

• Yixuan - S-Rank Auric Ink Rupture Agent
• Pan Yinhu - A-Rank Physical Defense Agent
• Ju Fufu - S-Rank Fire Stun Agent

Additionally, a few new Agents from the Obol Squad were teased during the special program!

As mentioned before, Yixuan is an Auric Ink Rupture Agent. Both the Element and the Specialty are new with 2.0! Additionally, various other new mechanics have been added to the game.

The new element called Auric Ink comes from the fact Yixuan invokes a small Ink Pot when she uses her techniques. Auric Ink is a sub-element of Ether, similar to Hoshimi Miyabi's Frost. Overall, it functions just like Ether: dealing Auric Ink DMG to enemies accumulates Auric Ink Anomaly Buildup, which triggers the Corruption effect.

However, Yixuan has a specific mechanic where she can gain Auric Ink points. This is what will allow her to deal Auric Ink DMG.

Rupture is a new Agent specialty. They possess a mix of both offensive capabilities and survivability. On top of that, they excel in dealing Sheer DMG.

Sheer DMG deals massive damage by ignoring enemy defenses. The amount of Sheer DMG you can do will depend on your Sheer Force stat.

Rupture Agents will convert a portion of their ATK (30%) into Sheer Force. The more ATK you have, the more Sheer Force you can convert, and the more Sheer DMG you will do.

In order to allow Rupture Agents to have F2P W-Engines, two A-Ranks and one B-Rank W-Engine will be added to the Signal Search and Gadget Store. Additionally, another one will be added to the Battle Pass Rewards as well.

Yixuan also uses a new Energy mechanic called Adrenaline. Adrenaline replaces your energy regeneration. You gain Adrenaline when you enter combat, or when triggering Perfect Dodge. You then consume your Adrenaline by casting certain attacks.

A new open-world mechanic was added: the Perception. This allows you to highlight specific items or hidden paths you can open when your are inside a Hollow. The Perception comes with three different capacities:

• Disintegration - Under the Perception Technique, you can use Disintegration to destroy obstacles on your path
• Revelation - Under the Perception Technique, revelation can be used to locate specific objects
• Insight - Under the Perception Technique, Insight allows you to track down objects after locating clues. Follow the Ether flow

if you have ever felt lost inside a Hollow or in New Eridu, you can now navigate all over the world of Zenless Zone Zero with the new Map system!

In certain locations, a mini-map will appear, and if you click on it you will also have access to a large map of the zone. You will be able to place fissures inside the Hollow, and teleport back to them through your map. You can also use Eous to read specific map data to obtain more map information such as supply chest locations, and more.
