Faction Overview Guide and Explanations For Zenless Zone Zero

In the world of Zenless Zone Zero, the city of New Eridu stands as a post-apocalyptic sanctuary. It is one of the final strongholds against the Ethereal entities and the Hollows.

In New Eridu, survivors have built a new community, with the goal of making it a safe haven. Over time people managed to gather resources from the Hollows, and the city industrialized and monetized these resources, leading to the rise of multiple different factions battling over the resources and the wealth that the Hollows can provide.

Factions in Zenless Zone Zero are related to the government, industrial companies, powerful gangs, law enforcers, or mysterious organizations from the world. They all have a different goal and place in New Eridu.

Factions are also an important part of Zenless Zone Zero's gameplay as you can also gain various bonuses during combat if multiple members of the same faction are part of your Squad.

Your main character is a proxy, someone whose job it is to take commissions that typically involve exploring dangerous places, such as the Hollows. These missions are given by various Factions from different places, each with their own story.

Here are some details and characteristics about all the different factions of the game.

One of the largest factions is the Belobog Heavy Industries. It is a construction company led by Koleda Belobog, who is trying to rebuild the Faction's reputation after her father disappeared mysteriously. They work with heavy machinery and are always ready to take on projects involving mechanical enemies and dangerous environments. Alongside Koleda, you will also find Ben Bigger, Anton Ivanov, and Grace Howard!

If you are looking for high-quality house cleaning, Victoria Housekeeping Co. is the faction you will want to contact! Dressed in old-school butler outfits, they not only keep your household clean but are also experienced fighters, able to clear even the most dangerous Hollows. Another original faction would be The Cunning Hares. Originally known as Gentle House, their actions led the people of New Eridu to name them Cunning Hares! The faction is on the edge of bankruptcy due to leader Nicole Demara's poor financial management. Cunning Hares can be called for any mission relating to Hollows. Perhaps we will be able to help Nicole, Billy Kid, Anby Demara, and Nekomata save the Cunning Hares from losing all their money! To learn more about the Cunning Hares Faction, you can head here:

Security is always maintained in New Eridu, thanks to the amazing Criminal Investigation Special Response Team! This faction is New Eridu's Police, and responsible for public security in New Eridu. Alongside the Public Security Faction, another similar one emerged: the Obol Squad. Comparable to the Military, Obol Squad is a sub-faction of New Eridu's Defense force Obsidian Division. The only known member so far Soldier 11, and Trigger. Soldier 0 - Anby is heavily linked to the Obol Squad, as she was part of another Obsidian Division faction called Silver Squad, which does not exist anymore. The Hollow Special Operations Section 6 also known as Section 6 are affiliated with H.A.N.D, a company dedicated to fighting Hollow disasters. Section 6 is a frontline operational unit formed out of extremely talented agents such as Soukaku, Tsukishiro Yanagi, Asaba Harumasa, and Hoshimi Miyabi. The Sons Of Calydon is a Faction operating outside of New Eridu, in the Outer Ring. It is a biker gang which rules over the Outer Ring!

The current known members of the Sons of Calydon are Lucy, Piper Wheel, Caesar King, Burnice White, Lighter, and Pulchra.

The Stars Of Lyra is the faction of New Eridu's most famous singer: Astra Yao!

The current known members of the Stars of Lyra are Astra Yao and Evelyn Chevalier.

The Mockingbird is the most mysterious factions of New Eridu. It is known to be the home of the Phantom Thieves syndicate.

The Yunkui Summit is the main Faction of the Waifei Peninsula. Leaded by Yixuan, they are masters in martial arts.

The Spook Shack is another Faction of the Waifei Peninsula. They are your go to faction if you're looking for intel about urban tales or paranormal activities.

On top of the playable Factions, we also know of various non-playable Factions! Those are either only mentioned during the main story, or future incoming factions:

• Angels of Delusion - Upcoming Idol Faction
• Marcel Group - Company that manufactures and certifies Bangboo
• Void Hunters - While not fully considered a faction on its own, it regroups the most powerful Agents of New Eridu
• White Star Institute - Responsible for researching Hollow Zero
• Hollow Investigation Association - Responsible for assisting Hollow related matters
• New Eridu Public Security - Responsible for maintaining peace and order in New Eridu. They have multiple branches
• New Eridu Defense Force - Responsible for digging up external threats, containing Hollows, and expanding to new territories. They are separated into multiple division, but only Obsidian Division is left
• H.A.N.D - Hollow Affairs & Neutralization Department. It is an elite disaster response unit responsible for protecting New Eridu from Hollows
• TOPS - Responsible for gathering some of the biggest businesses in New Eridu

• White Noise - Known hacker collective affiliated with The Exaltists
• Null Face - Group of Hackers and Proxies
• Rebel Soldiers - Rogue members of the New Eridu Defense Force
• Hollow Raiders:
• Bangboo Boo-Nappers - Specialized in the abduction and trafficking of Bangboos
• Mountain Lion Gang - Enemy group led by Razor, taken down by Jane
• Red Fang Gang - Former criminal faction led by Silver. Neko was a former member.
• Weasel gang - Led by Jobert, an old gentleman often hiding as a regular customer inside the Video Store, he often needs help with disciplining rebel members of his gang
• Black Anchor - Gang located in Port Elpis
