Ninja DPS Gear and Best in Slot — Dawntrail 7.55
On this page, you will find the best gear and best-in-slot items for your Ninja DPS in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail (Patch 7.55).
Ninja Gearsets (BiS)
This section is for Best-in-Slot builds for Ninja, updated for the current patch. If you are looking into the reasoning behind why we have these stats in this way, check out the stat priority page for Ninja.
Best in Slot by Encounter
Patch 7.4 Gearsets (Week 1 Progression Gearset)
If you do not have all the tomes to go for all the pieces listed in this set, buy them in the order of body first, then wrist, then ring. As a non-selfish DPS job I wouldn't expect to get the tomestone for the tome weapon first week, but if you are going harder in progression and the other DPS in your team can't or don't want to go for it, could be worth buying it and replacing the ring with a crafted ring instead, though it will put you behind in getting your full set of gear.
Patch 7.4 Gearsets (Savage BiS)
The relic weapon is absolute best in slot. If you don't have Kefka weapon or relic, your next best weapon is the weapon from savage, which is barely a downgrade.
The Omega Protocol Best-in-Slot
Portions of these gear sets can only be acquired by completing the Abyssos raid tier. The weapon being i645 or i665 doesn’t matter, has the same end result when synced down. A guide for the content can be found in the link below.
Dragonsong's Reprise Best-in-Slot
As of Patch 6.3, dungeon gear from Lapis Manalis may be used without the penalty of losing melds, since the gear dropped from the instance is i605. Below is the best option set compiled using a mix of Asphodelos and dungeon gear. The relic being i645 or i665 is irrelevant as it will have the same stats once synced down.
Futures Rewritten Best-in-Slot
As of Patch 7.3, dungeon gear from Meso Terminal may be used without the penalty of losing melds, since the gear dropped from the instance is i735. Below is the best option set compiled using a mix of Arcadion and dungeon gear. If you do not have the weapon from FRU already, use the new relic weapons.
Dancing Mad Best-in-Slot
This is the same as the Best in slot for Savage, with the added weapon from the fight itself. Until you have the weapon, can use the savage weapon from this tier. If you have the relic for Ninja, it is best in slot over the Kefka weapon.
