Saviors of Uldum: Two New Druid Cards

Recommended Posts

Anubisath Defender and Overflow look like strong additions for slower Druid decks.

Inven Global have revealed two new Druid cards, pictured above: Anubisath Defender and Overflow!

Each card looks like a major boost for slow archetypes like Heal Druid, which have struggled to make an impact in Rise of Shadows.

Players who were around before the Year of the Dragon Standard rotation will doubtless have images of Ultimate Infestation + Arcane Tyrant swing turns permanently imprinted on their psyches, so strong was Druid at some points in time. These new cards give Druid a comparable toolkit for Saviors of Uldum.

Overflow looks like a very good draw option in comparison to similarly-costed cards like Nourish and Sprint. Its "Restore 5 Health" effect means it will also be useful in decks looking to revive Lucentbark multiple times.

Anubisath Defender should help slow Druid decks gain a tempo advantage, something they haven't had much ability to do in Rise of Shadows. Besides Overflow, it also combines well with Nourish and the new Hidden Oasis.

Decks built around the new Druid Quest, Untapped Potential, will be especially appreciative of Anubisath Defender's ability to regain lost tempo.

Check out our Saviors of Uldum hub for more information on the next expansion, plus every card revealed so far.
