Mists of Pandaria Classic Enhancement Shaman Stat Priority
On this page, you will find out the optimal PvE stat priority for your Enhancement Shaman in Mists of Pandaria Classic. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations.
Stat Priority for Enhancement Shaman
The stat priority for Enhancement Shaman
is as follows:
- Agility
- Hit Rating to cap (7.5%)
- Expertise Rating to Dodge cap (7.5%)
- Mastery
- Haste
- Critical Strike
Agility
Agility is the primary stat you should be focusing on for increasing your damage.
Because of how items are configured in Mists of Pandaria, you will naturally gain
Agility as you equip higher item level gear, and it will also get multiplied by
raid buffs such as Blessing of Kings, making it even more important.
Hit and Expertise
Hit and Expertise are critical to ensure you land your attacks and special abilities, as missing attacks wastes both resources and precious time.
Hitting 7.5% Hit ensures your attacks cannot miss, 7.5% Expertise ensures your attacks cannot be dodged, and 15% Expertise removes parries, but removing dodges is enough as you should be attacking from behind and parries can only attack when attacking from the front.
Enhancement also has to worry about the Spell Hit cap of 15% since it uses a lot of spells in its rotation, but this is naturally taken care of by having 7.5% Hit and 7.5% Expertise, as both count equally towards the Spell Hit cap.
Mastery Rating
Enhancement Mastery is Mastery: Enhanced Elements, which is a powerful
elemental damage increase. As much of your damage comes from elemental damage sources
such as
Maelstrom Weapon-powered spells, this is a good DPS stat, especially
for area damage where almost all of your damage sources are elemental damage, such
as the damage from
Fire Nova.
Haste Rating
Haste rating is good for Enhancement due to Flurry making it
scale harder and generating more attacks which cause extra
Maelstrom Weapon
procs.
Critical Strike Rating
Critical Strike is rather strong for Enhancement as it synergizes with Flurry.
On the other hand, it is not the best of stats because it takes a lot of rating
to get 1% Crit, making it an inefficient stat to stack.
