Mists of Pandaria Classic Feral Druid Rotation and Cooldowns
On this page, you will learn how to optimize the rotation of your Feral Druid in both single-target and multi-target PvE situations in Mists of Pandaria Classic. We also have advanced sections about cooldowns, procs, etc. in order to minmax your DPS.
Feral Druid Rotations
If you have not already, we recommend going through the Spell Summary guide first. Knowing how each spell and ability works in detail will greatly increase your understanding of the rotation suggestions below.
Feral Druid Rotations
Single-Target Rotation
Make sure to keep yourself buffed with Mark of the Wild and debuff enemies
with
Faerie Fire when pulling.
Keeping Energy around 70+ rather than using it as soon as you have enough for
an attack is often advantageous due to the need to rapidly rebuild combo points
to take advantage of Dream of Cenarius since
Predatory Swiftness
is activated after using all combo points but only lasts 12 seconds which can make
it difficult to rebuild combo points if you started from low Energy.
- Use and refresh (at 3 seconds or less)
Savage Roar;
- Use
Tiger's Fury when available while you are under 35 Energy;
- If
Berserk is available and 15 or more seconds remain on
Tiger's Fury's cooldown, auto-attack until ~90 Energy and use Berserk;
- Use
Nature's Swiftness or
Predatory Swiftness procs on instant
Healing Touch to activate
Dream of Cenarius at 4 or 5 combo points, which should usually be followed by a bleed refresh and a damage finisher at 5 points;
- Refresh (at 2 seconds or less)
Rip at 5 Combo Points, casting
Ferocious Bite to do so if the target is under 25% health;
- Use and refresh (at 2 seconds or less)
Rake;
- Use and refresh (at 3 seconds or less)
Thrash if you got the
Clearcasting buff;
- Use
Shred (or
Mangle if you cannot attack from behind the target) to build Combo Points.
AoE Rotation
Your rotation remains mostly the same, but you will want to drop single-target attacks to focus more of your limited Energy on area attacks.
- Use and refresh (at 3 seconds or less)
Savage Roar;
- Use
Tiger's Fury when available while you are under 35 Energy;
- If
Berserk is available and 15 or more seconds remain on
Tiger's Fury's cooldown, auto-attack until ~90 Energy and use Berserk;
- Use and refresh (at 3 seconds or less)
Thrash;
- If fighting against 4 or less long lived targets, use
Nature's Swiftness or
Predatory Swiftness procs on instant
Healing Touch to activate
Dream of Cenarius at 4 or 5 combo points, which should usually be followed by a bleed refresh and a damage finisher at 5 points;
- If fighting against 3 or less targets, apply and refresh
Rip (at 3 seconds or less) on one;
- If fighting against 4 or less targets, apply and refresh
Rake on as many as possible (at 2 seconds or less);
- Use
Swipe.
Cooldowns
Use your offensive cooldown Berserk when at high energy to maximize
the amount of abilities you can use during its effect.
Use your defensive cooldowns Barkskin,
Might of Ursoc, and
Survival Instincts whenever you drop low or are facing heavy damage.
Most of the time it will be enough to use a single one of these, but for extra
dangerous situations you, will want to use multiple of them at once.
Remember to use your utility abilities as well:
Rebirth to combat ress anyone who dies;
Innervate to help allies recover Mana during DPS downtime;
Stampeding Roar to increase movement speed during heavy movement mechanics;
Skull Bash to help interrupt critical casts if no one else can do it.
