Baicang's Stat Priority

Baicang is an attack scaling Esper that, thanks to his Console bonus's CRIT Rate increase, should be built with high CRIT DMG and additional CRIT Rate, in addition to increasing his attack.

Baicang's Skill Priority

Baicang should prioritize his Ultimate as that increases the Power Word damage he triggers with his Ultimate. His Skill should be leveled as his 2nd main source of damage. Following that his Basic Attack is better to prioritize over his Support Skill.

If you have one or multiple copies of a character, you will be able to select Awakenings of your choosing. The following is a recommendation for Baicang's Awakening unlock order. Remember that you can switch them at any time to try out different ones, or tailor your choices for a specific fight or situation.

How to Play Baicang

Baicang is an on-field DPS who drains his own HP in order to inflict his unique Power Words on enemies that are triggered via his ultimate for either damage or healing.

• Baicang has access to three different Power Words:
  • Power Word Bless is a Power Word he gains with every third basic attack he performs. When he activates his Ultimate, he gains back 5% of his HP per Bless triggered, and Bless also deals some single-target DMG to the enemy.
  • Power Word Silence is gained by either using his Redirect Skill on an enemy after dodging, or by using his support skill. When Silence is triggered by his Ultimate, it does strong single-target DMG to the enemy with Silence on them.
  • Power Word Objurgate is generated by using his Redirect Skill after either his basic attack Formless Words, or Unrestrained Words. When triggered by his Ultimate, Objurgate does AOE DMG centered around the enemy that is marked by the Power Word.

Baicang's Ultimate Judgment of Autumn creates a domain around him, temporarily dealing damage to enemies over time, while also triggering any Power Words on enemies and delaying a single hit of fatal damage, which then gets applied after the domain state ends. This Ultimate can also immediately execute enemies below 10%, or 5% for bosses.

Baicang's unique Esper Cycle reaction allows him to apply an extra Scorch stack to enemies that already have one stack, whenever he applies a Power Word. This means that in teams where Baicang is the main on-field DPS, it is very easy to keep Scorch on enemies, helping the team deal more DOT, while also making Discord Cycle reaction generation easier. This is due to it being much more likely that Scorch will already be active when Nova is generated by Chaos and Psyche.

Baicang's main gameplay loop revolves around using his various Basic Attacks and Redirect skill to build up the three different Power Words before using his ultimate to enter the Domain state and triggering these Power Words. While in the Domain state, his Power Words are immediately triggered, meaning that any Power Words generated during his Ultimate will trigger immediately.

Baicang, despite having a straightforward kit, can be rather difficult to use due to his health drain. If you are not careful when building Power Words, it is very easy to reach low enough health to be killed by a single attack from an enemy, especially against bosses. It is highly recommended that a team for Baicang has at least one healing sustain character such as Adler or Fadia to help him stay alive.
