Best Pairings and Synergies With Adler

Adler is a support Incantation Esper able to provide survivability to most teams, but he also manages to do quite a bit of damage against single-target enemies. As an Incantation Esper he can cause reactions with Chaos or Anima Espers, as well as with Chaos and Psyche Espers for the Discord Cycle reaction. Listed below are some notable teammates for Adler, however this is not an exhaustive list, as he can work in a lot of different team compositions.

Baicang is a Incantation Esper who sacrifices his own HP to do more damage with his attacks, making Adler a great pairing as Adler provides survivability.

Daffodill is a Chaos Esper that can trigger Scorch reactions with Adler. She also benefits from Adler's Scorch Enhancement bonus, as one of its effects is a Break Efficiency increase, allowing Daffodill to break enemies even faster.

Lacrimosa is a Chaos Esper that can trigger Scorch reactions with Adler. She also greatly benefits from Adler's increased survivability from his shield, because when she copies an enemy attack, she is locked into the animation. Normally this leaves her vulnerable to damage, especially with longer attack animations, but Adler's shield negates most of that risk.

Fadia is a Psyche Esper which, while not able to react directly with Adler, is able to trigger Discord reactions when a Chaos Esper is also on the team. Fadia, similarly to Baicang, drains her own HP, and benefits greatly from Adler's Shield to improve her survivability.

Jiuyuan is an Anima Esper able to trigger the Hexed Esper Cycle effect with Adler.

A Discord Reaction-focused team, with Adler providing Baicang with survivability and serving as a bit of a sub DPS against bosses.

A Hexed and Scorched reaction team for high DoT damage.

A charge team where Adler provides increased survivability with his shield.
