Best Enchants and Gems for Demonology Warlocks in Wrath of the Lich King Classic

Enchants are very important and luckily very easy to obtain since you can buy most of the Enchantment scrolls off the Auction House for pretty cheap. However, there are a couple enchants that are locked behind faction Reputations. For your Head enchant you must be Exalted with Kirin Tor which is as simple as wearing their tabard while doing your Heroic Dungeons. As for your shoulder Enchant, this is also locked behind reputation. This one is Sons of Hodir and starts with a quest chain in K3 of the Storm Peaks zone called They Took Our Men!.

Below is a list of the recommended enchants for a Demonology Warlock in Wrath of the Lich King Classic, listed in order of priority.

Best Gems for Demonology Warlocks in Wrath of the Lich King

Gems are really straightforward. Use Chaotic Skyflare Diamond Icon Chaotic Skyflare Diamond for your Meta Gem Socket Icon Meta Gem and use two Purified Dreadstone Icon Purified Dreadstone to activate your Meta. Put Runed Cardinal Ruby Icon Runed Cardinal Ruby in all Red Socket Icon Red Sockets and then in the Yellow Socket Icon Yellow Sockets that have Spirit or Spell Power bonuses, put either Reckless Ametrine Icon Reckless Ametrine in it if you do NOT need Hit or use Veiled Ametrine Icon Veiled Ametrine if you do need Hit. You also have the pure 16 Hit Rigid King's Amber Icon Rigid King's Amber if you are really desperate for Hit, but you should not have to use one of these thanks to Suppression IconSuppression.

    Best Consumables for Demonology Warlocks

Below is a list of the recommended consumables for a Demonology Warlock. Some consumables have multiple options depending on your needs; be sure to choose accordingly.

    1. Flask of the Frost Wyrm Icon Flask of the Frost Wyrm
    2. Potion of Speed Icon Potion of Speed or Potion of Wild Magic Icon Potion of Wild Magic
    3. Flame Cap Icon Flame Cap
    4. Spellstone Icon Spellstone or Firestone Icon Firestone
    5. Firecracker Salmon Icon Firecracker Salmon, Fish Feast Icon Fish Feast, Tender Shoveltusk Steak Icon Tender Shoveltusk Steak, or Snapper Extreme Icon Snapper Extreme
    6. Spiced Mammoth Treats Icon Spiced Mammoth Treats for your pet
    7. Saronite Bomb Icon Saronite Bomb & Global Thermal Sapper Charge Icon Global Thermal Sapper Charge
    8. Heavy Frostweave Bandage Icon Heavy Frostweave Bandage
    3.1.

    Flasks

Flask of the Frost Wyrm Icon Flask of the Frost Wyrm is the only flask recommended as it provides the most Spell Power.

    3.2.

    Spellstone

Use Create Spellstone IconCreate Spellstone on your weapon at all times. This will give you 1% extra damage to your DoTs, but also gives you 240 Haste rating.

    3.3.

    Potions

Both of these potions are very good. As Demonology you are there for Demonic Pact and for that reason you should pre pop a Potion of Wild Magic Icon Potion of Wild Magic so you have that 200 Spell Power, and then you would use your second Wild Magic potion as you go into execute range. You should wait for your trinkets to get off cooldown, then when your trinkets proc like Sundial then you use that second potion. This allows you to buff your raid with the largest Demonic Pact IconDemonic Pact you can, but also allows you to get some good buffed up Soul Fire IconSoul Fire. If you are NOT the support Demonology and you are there for personal DPS, then you are safe to use Potion of Speed Icon Potion of Speed as they are better for your personal DPS.

    3.4.

    Food Buff

For your food you have a few options. You can use a Fish Feast Icon Fish Feast, Firecracker Salmon Icon Firecracker Salmon, or Tender Shoveltusk Steak Icon Tender Shoveltusk Steak, which all give you the same amount, 46 spell Power and 40 Stamina. Most guilds have Fish Feast Icon Fish Feast, but it is suggested to always keep a stack of whatever is the cheaper food on your server out of the Firecracker Salmon Icon Firecracker Salmon or Tender Shoveltusk Steak Icon Tender Shoveltusk Steak. There is also a food called Snapper Extreme Icon Snapper Extreme, which gives you 40 Hit Rating and 40 Stamina. This food can come in handy if you are just shy of some Hit and want to finish it off.

    4.

    Profession Items for Demonology Warlocks

    4.1.

    Engineering

Both of these items should be used on cooldown. It might not seem like much, but the damage adds up. Use Global Thermal Sapper Charge Icon Global Thermal Sapper Charge on AoE if you can and throw some Saronite Bomb Icon Saronite Bomb every 60 seconds. It does not have a cast time and also does not take a global to use it, so it is free damage.

    4.2.

    First Aid

While these are minor and will see little use, it is always recommended to keep them on hand for the quick, Mana-free heal.
