Fire Mage PvP Gear Guide for WotLK Classic

You can find our recommended gear in the table below, which includes items available exclusively from Wrath Dungeons/Raids, Professions, PvP, and Reputation rewards. Please note that the preferred gems depend on how much Hit Rating, Resilience, Haste, Crit, etc. you need and that there is not a static gem like for each gem slot color.

The current BIS for Mages is a work in progress thing, as top PVPers use different BIS sets for PVP or their priorities shift. The most up-to-date version of the BIS list can be found in the Classic Mage Discord.

*Instead of the Epic Jewelcrafting gems you can also use the Autumn's Glow version of them, if you are not a Jewelcrafter.

Fire Mages use the following Enchants in PvP:

Shoulders	Inscription of Dominance — Wintergrasp Vendors for 30x Stone Keeper's Shard
Back	Enchant Cloak - Spell Piercing
Chest	Enchant Chest - Exceptional Resilience
Wrists	Enchant Bracers - Superior Spellpower
Gloves	Hyperspeed Accelerators or Hand-Mounted Pyro Rocket from Engineering > Enchant Gloves - Exceptional Spellpower
Waist	Eternal Belt Buckle — Blacksmithing (usable by non-Blacksmiths) and Frag Belt from Engineering; these modifications stack
Legs	Earthen Leg Armor — Leatherworking
Feet	Enchant Boots - Tuskarr's Vitality
Finger	Enchant Ring - Greater Spellpower (Enchanting only)
One-Handed Weapons	Enchant Weapon - Mighty Spellpower (when you have high Haste) ≥ Enchant Weapon - Black Magic (when you have low Haste)
