Akekuri, while not a free character, will likely be in your roster after doing just a few 10-pulls on any banner. As a Vanguard her function is to help your team generate SP, so that you can use more Battle Skills against your foes. This is caused by her Combo Skill, which triggers when staggering enemies, as well as when casting her Ultimate. Typically, most characters apply Stagger reliably when hitting enemies with their Final Strikes, which can be achieved with any character. This makes her a good all-rounder, but Akekuri also has some very specific synergies to boot!
Best Pairings and Synergies With Akekuri
Listed below are our our recommendations for notable character synergies. Keep an eye on further recommendations as the game develops and we learn more about the Operators.
Perlica is the first character that synergizes very well with Akekuri.
Perlica's first Talent causes her to deal more damage to
staggered enemies - and Akekuri likes staggered enemies just as much!
On top of that, Akekuri's signature weapon, OBJ Edge of Lightness, grants a
Heat and Electric damage bonus, which will increase Perlica's damage at
the critical moment. You will also use an equipment set, which further boosts everyone's DPS.
This is one of many cases of the combat system triggering one effect after another, and it
is beautiful to watch in action!
Chen Qianyu's second Talent deals additional stagger when she interrupts an enemy's charge up. She can do this with her Battle Skill, Combo Skill, or Ultimate. When used with her Battle Skill, it behaves as a partial SP refund to reward performing an interruption, rather than actually generating SP. When the interrupt is performed with Chen's Combo Skill or Ultimate, however, you suddenly have a net SP gain.
Ember's Battle Skill deals additional Stagger if she receives damage during the windup of her skill. Building more Stagger allows Akekuri to build up her own Combo Skill trigger more quickly for SP generation. However, since this synergy requires the expenditure of SP, this becomes more of an SP refund, rather than proper SP generation.
The synergy with Lifeng comes from his fifth and final Potential, which causes Lifeng to regularly cause additional Stagger. Since this is a permanent and regular effect, Lifeng helps Akekuri generate SP faster as well due to triggering her Combo Skill more often. However, as this is only happening with Lifeng's final potential, you will need to pull six copies of Lifeng to have the chance to experience this synergy. Needless to say, most Endministrators will not be making use of this synergy.
Akekuri's Best Teams
Listed below are a range of team compositions we recommend you use with Akekuri. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect her overall power level.
Akekuri is cleanly compatible with just about any team, favoring teams that deal Heat and Electric Damage, thanks to her OBJ Edge of Lightness signature weapon, and the fact she doesn't consume Heat or Electric Infliction stacks while still performing her role in the team.
