Akekuri Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Akekuri build guide for Arknights: Endfield. Akekuri is a 4-star Sword Vanguard Character available in Arknights: Endfield who utilizes the Heat element.

In our Akekuri guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Akekuri, from building the best Gear and Weapons, to important stat priorities and combos.

Akekuri's Best Weapons

OBJ Edge of Lightness
  • Agility +124 (9/9)
  • Attack +31.2% (9/9)

Flow: Unbridled Edge (9/9):
Secondary Attribute +14%.
After the wielder's skill recovers SP, the entire team gains Heat DMG Dealt and Electric DMG Dealt +8.4% for 20s.
Max stacks for effects of the same name: 3. Duration of each stack is counted separately.
OBJ Edge of Lightness is Akekuri's signature weapon, and it's easy to see why! This weapon's Passive Attribute boost is Agility, which is Akekuri's Main scaling Attribute. The Special Attribute increases Attack, which is just generally good. However, it is the Potential Skill of OBJ Edge of Lightness that really makes this weapon shine for Akekuri.
First off, it enhances her Secondary scaling Attribute of Intelligence. More importantly, whenever Akekuri generates SP with her Combo Skill or Ultimate, she buffs Heat and Electric Damage dealt by herself and her teammates. This buff lasts long enough that she can keep this buff active 100% of the time. Additionally, this effect stacks. Considering Akekuri does Heat Damage with her Ultimate that activates this effect, you can see how she accelerates the damage output of herself and any team utilizing Heat and Electric Operators!
Thermite Cutter
  • Willpower +156 (9/9)
  • Attack +39% (9/9)

Flow: Thermal Release (4/9):
ATK +16%.
After the wielder's skill recovers SP or grants a Link state, the entire team gains ATK +8% for 20s.
Max stacks for effects of the same name: 2. Duration of each stack is counted separately.
For 6* weapons, none have as useful a skill for Akekuri as Thermite Cutter. Anytime Akekuri gains SP, she'll be granting the team a significant Attack Boost. While this weapon doesn't have a useful stat for Akekuri's damage scaling, perhaps that's okay for the team's designated SP Battery?
Grand Vision
  • Agility +156 (9/9)
  • Attack +39% (9/9)

Infliction: Long Time Wish (4/9):
Arts Intensity +48.
When the wielder applies Originium Crystals or Solidification, during the next battle skill or ultimate cast within 20s, the wielder gains Physical DMG Dealt +57.6%.
Effects of the same name cannot stack.
Grand Vision is Akekuri's most powerful stat-stick. Agility and Attack Boost of the highest available order will let Akekuri have a higher floor in damage output. However, without a compatible skill, it will bring Akekuri's utility and potential ceiling down.
Prominent Edge
  • Agility +93 (9/9)
  • Physical DMG +26% (9/9)

Suppression: Emergency Boost (9/9):
When the wielder's battle skill hits the enemy, the wielder gains ATK +33.6% for 20s.
Effects of the same name cannot stack.
There's not much to say when it comes to picking a 4-star weapon for Akekuri. Prominent Edge increases Akekuri's Main scaling Attribute, Agility. As far as the Special Attribute and Potential Skills of the two 4-star Swords, they're practically identical for Akekuri's purposes.

Akekuri's Best Essences

Essences are one of the repeatedly farmable ways to further boost the damage of your Akekuri. Which area and essence you will want to farm will depend on the weapon you are playing, as not all Essences are compatible with every weapon. Essences will increase the stats of your weapon, as well as enhance the passive effect it provides.

  • OBJ Edge of Lightness: Agility, Attack Boost, and Flow, farmable in The Hub, Power Plateau, and Wuling City.
  • Thermite Cutter: Will, Attack Boost, and Flow, farmable in The Hub, Power Plateau, and Wuling City.
  • Grand Vision: Agility, Attack Boost, and Infliction, farmable in Originium Science Park and Power Plateau.
  • Prominent Edge: Agility, Physical DMG Boost, and Suppression, farmable in Originium Science Park and Origin Lodespring.

Essences can be further upgraded through a system called Etching which will be a long-term investment due to how much Sanity it takes to fully max out a weapon. You may therefore want to farm and Etch Essences for a signature weapon already if you plan on getting it in the near-future, even if you do not have the weapon yet.

Best Gear for Akekuri

Frontiers
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Combo Skill Cooldown Reduction +15%.
After the wearer's skill recovers SP, the team gains DMG +16% for 15s. This effect cannot stack.
This Gear set will be Akekuri's holy grail as a Vanguard. The set effect will reduce the cooldown on her Combo Skill, which is her Main SP generator. When recovering SP, the set will trigger an effect to grant the team a general damage boost for a significant amount of time. Additionally, this set gives a massive boost in Agility and Intellect, vastly improving Akekuri's damage output. Alongside Akekuri's first Talent, Cheer of Victory, the massive Intellect gains will help her team generate SP much quicker. As an off-piece, we'll take the Type 50 Yinglung Hand piece to improve the output of her precious Combo Skill that generates SP.
  • Armor: Frontiers Set - Frontiers Armor T3 — Agility, Intellect, Secondary Attribute (Intellect)
  • Gloves: Type 50 Yinglung Offpiece - Type 50 Yinglung Gloves — Agility, Intellect, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
  • Kit 1: Frontiers Set - Frontiers Extra O2 Tube — Agility, Intellect, Secondary Attribute (Intellect)
  • Kit 2: Frontiers Set - Frontiers Extra O2 Tube — Agility, Intellect, Secondary Attribute (Intellect)

Leveling Gear for Akekuri

While the above gear set is the optimal choice, it might take you some time before you will be able to craft it. Below are some of the more early and mid-game sets that we recommend until you've reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

Roving MSGR
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Agility +50.
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, Physical DMG +20%.
The Power Plateau has been reached, Sandleaf has been acquired. Time to manufacture some Cryston Components and get Akekuri's final leveling gear in before the end game. Akekuri will persist with the Roving MSGR Gear Pack, updating to the Lv.50 4* pieces of the same type. Also, updating the Miner Gloves from T1 to T2 from the Miner γ Gear Pack.
  • Armor: Roving MSGR Set - Roving MSGR Jacket T1 — Agility, Intellect, HP
  • Gloves: Miner Gloves T2 Offpiece - Miner Gloves T2 — Intellect, Agility, HP
  • Kit 1: Roving MSGR Set - Roving MSGR Gyro T1 — Agility, Intellect, Attack
  • Kit 2: Roving MSGR Set - Roving MSGR Gyro T1 — Agility, Intellect, Attack
Roving MSGR
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Agility +50.
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, Physical DMG +20%.
Upon clearing the Originium Science Park and obtaining access to Ferrium Components, this will be Akekuri's best Gear until reaching the Power Plateau. The Roving MSGR Gear Pack is purpose build towards Main Attribute: Agility Operators. Slot in the Gyros and Jacket. Then for the Gloves, take the Miner Gloves T1 from the Miner β Gear Pack.
  • Armor: Roving MSGR Jacket Set - Roving MSGR Jacket — Agility, Intellect, Attack
  • Gloves: Miner Gloves T1 Offpiece - Miner Gloves T1 — Intellect, Agility, HP
  • Kit 1: Roving MSGR Gyro Set - Roving MSGR Gyro — Agility, Intellect, Attack
  • Kit 2: Roving MSGR Gyro Set - Roving MSGR Gyro — Agility, Intellect, Attack
AIC Heavy
3-piece set effect: Wearer's HP +500.
After the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer restores 100 HP. Effect trigger cooldown: 5s.
The AIC Heavy Gear Pack will best align with Akekuri's Main Attribute at the 2* level. Slot in the Miner Wrists from the Miner α Gear Pack for the best Agility offpiece.
  • Armor: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Heavy Armor — Strength, Agility, Final DMG Reduction
  • Gloves: Miner Wrists Offpiece - Miner Wrists — Agility, Strength, HP
  • Kit 1: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Alloy Plate — Agility, Final DMG Reduction
  • Kit 2: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Alloy Plate — Agility, Final DMG Reduction
Basic Armor
No Set effect.
There are no Set effects to be had at the 1* level, but this pair of Gear will best align with Akekuri's Main Attribute until you unlock ready access to Amethyst Components.

Akekuri's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: Flash and Dash > SQUAD! ON ME! > Burst of Passion > Sword of Aspiration

Akekuri is the SP Battery of the team. Focusing on developing the skills and talents that improve those behaviors will yield the best results.

How to Play Akekuri

Akekuri is a Vanguard. Her Main role is to get your team additional SP. Thankfully, as a 4-star, her effects are pretty generic and flexible. The condition for her Combo Skill, her Main source of SP, requires you to trigger Stagger as often as possible.

The most straight forward way to do that? Get your Final Strikes in - constantly. You're going to be doing this with any team, and Akekuri won't be consuming any resources to get that SP. It's unfortunate that Akekuri has no way to natively make that Stagger happen faster, but you'll be thankful for that boost of SP every time you do hit Stagger, as that's going to be a massive influx of damage during the enemy's most vulnerable moments.
