Wulfgard has two ways to be played, and both requiring other characters to help him out. The first option requires using an off-element Operator to be able to use Combustion, in which case Wulfgard works as a pseudo-Striker. The second option is to use Wulfgard as a Heat generator for other team-comps.

Best Pairings and Synergies With Wulfgard

Listed below are our our recommendations for notable character synergies. Keep an eye on further recommendations as the game develops and we learn more about the Operators.

Any Operator that can apply a different Arts Infliction from Wulfgard can work for letting Wulfgard work as a pseudo-Striker, so we'll present Perlica as an easily accessible example. Perlica can either apply Electric with her Battle Skill for Wulfgard to spin up Combustion with, or apply Electrification with her Combo Skill for Wulfgard to immediately consume.

Laevatain is able to synchronize pretty nicely with Wulfgard. Laevatain will induce Combustion without consuming Heat whenever she uses her Battle Skill. Wulfgard and Laevatain can then both use that Combustion to trigger their Combo Skills, applying Heat Infliction themselves. Wulfgard can then consume the Combustion to make his own Battle Skill deal a lot more damage.
