Demon Warlock Build for Diablo 2 Resurrected

The Demon Warlock uses his control of various Demons to slay his enemies. While he cannot Summon as big of an Army as the Necromancer or Druid, his Demons are more powerful and he has much greater control of them. From Death Mark to teleport and focus his demons on an enemy, to Blood Boil to Erupt them for Area of Effect damage, the Demon Warlock packs quite a punch and is the most interactive Summoner yet.

The following section shows the core skills for the Demon Warlock. Since this class is new the current optimal Skill choices are not yet discovered, but below are a list of the useful skills for this Demon build style.

1. Summon Goatman - One of the 3 Demon choices. A great tank and Melee fighter, the Goatman has high damage output and can keep enemies away from you.
2. Summon Tainted - A Ranged Fire caster, Tainteds can be useful with a Tank in front of them as they shoot Fireballs from afar.
3. Summon Defiler - A demon that does not attack but instead binds the souls of other demons together, linking damage taken. A great choice for many builds, summoner or not.
4. Bind Demon - Bind ANY Demon in the game. This Summon also travels between games so it can be really nice to get Lister the Tormentor or some other giant Demon.
5. Demonic Mastery - Increases Number of Demons, Damage, Attack Rating, Attack Speed, Run Walk Speed, and more. Definitely a Skill to max in any Summoner Build.
6. Blood Oath - Improve defenses of Summons and yourself.
7. Death Mark - Teleport Demons to fight a specific target.
8. Blood Boil - Rupture your Demons, dealing damage to them and enemies around them.
9. Engorge - Heal your Demons and increase their Defenses.

Starting out the Demon tree is a little slow as you only get 1 Summon, however as your Demonic Mastery increases and you gain more Summons and skills this character improves a lot. Once Blood Boil is unlocked it definitely starts to take off. In the endgame teleporting around with Enigma and Blood Boiling your Summons is very fast for farming.

• Boots: Marrowwalk, Sandstorm Trek
• Belt: Arachnid Mesh, String of Ears
• Ring 1: The Stone of Jordan or Bul-Kathos' Wedding Band
• Ring 2: The Stone of Jordan or Bul-Kathos' Wedding Band
• Amulet: Mara's Kaleidoscope, Seraph's Hymn, +3 Warlock Demon Skills Amulet
• Charm 1: Warlock Hellfire Torch
• Charm 2: Annihilus
• Charm 3: 9x Demon Skiller Grand Charms with Life or enough Faster Hit Recovery
• Charm 4: 10 Small Charms with Life, Resistances, Mana, or Faster Hit Recovery, depending on needs

In Diablo 2, stats that affect action speed (known as frames) for attacking, casting, blocking, and recovering from a hit can almost never be taken literally. For example, gaining 10% Increased Attack Speed from an item will not necessarily translate into 10% faster attacks. To achieve faster actions, certain breakpoints must be reached, which vary for every class. The tables below list how much of a given stat is required to actually improve the action speed of the class for the stated action.

An Offensive (Might) Desert Guard Mercenary in Act 2 will be the best for Goatman and certain bound Demons as it provides Might Aura to all of your Physical Summons. Otherwise, a Defensive (Holy Freeze) Mercenary could be useful to slow enemies for more survivability if using more caster Demons such as Tainteds.
