Eldritch Blast Warlock Build for Diablo 2 Resurrected

The Eldritch Blast Warlock uses Area of Effect pulsing to deal high amounts of magic damage around himself while using the life and mana spell steal to stay alive. This is a very unique style build that requires a bit of gear and plus skills to really start popping off.

The following section shows the core skills for the Eldritch Blast Warlock. For a detailed breakdown of all core and optional skills as well as the recommended order for allocating skill points, refer to the Skills page of this guide.

1. 20 points to Eldritch Blast – The main skill of the build.
2. 20 points to Cleave – The best skill to probably hex all enemies in Eldritch Blast range. May only need enough to hit 20 soft points, just need full 360 degree arc.
3. 20 points to Hex: Purge – A Synergy for Eldritch Blast and adds an AoE Hex. Great for more damage and explosions nearby.
4. 20 points to Blade Warp – A Synergy for Eldritch Blast plus if used releases damage on landing that hexes nearby monsters.
5. X points to Psychic Ward – Synergy for Eldritch Blast. Prevents Damage and Stuns Melee attackers.
6. X points to Hex: Bane – Alternative to Psychic Ward if wanting more Synergy damage for Hex: Purge.
7. 1 point to Bind Demon – Powerful to grab a tank to help along the way.
8. 1 point to Blood Oath – Improve defensiveness of self and bound demon.
9. 1 point to Levitation Mastery – Increases Damage, Attack Rating, Critical Strike, and lowers Weapon Requirements. Probably used for Weapon Requirements.
10. 1 point to Hex: Siphon – Potentially useful to lower enemy damage if things are too unsafe.
11. 1 point to Summon Defiler – Useful for consume to increase Eldritch Blast Damage.
12. Rest of points to Consume – Used to Consume Defiler for added Magic Damage.

The following section shows some potentially strong items for the Eldritch Blast Warlock. Remember the Warlock can use 2-handed Weapons with a Shield. The main goal of this character will be to stack up a lot of + to Skills while remaining strong enough to survive being near enemies.

• Amulet: Mara's Kaleidoscope, Seraph's Hymn, +3 Warlock Eldritch Skills Amulet
• Charm 1: Warlock Hellfire Torch
• Charm 2: Annihilus
• Charm 3: 9x Eldritch Skiller Grand Charms with Life or enough Faster Hit Recovery
• Charm 4: 10 Small Charms with Life, Resistances, Mana, or Faster Hit Recovery, depending on needs

In Diablo 2, stats that affect action speed (known as frames) for attacking, casting, blocking, and recovering from a hit can almost never be taken literally. For example, gaining 10% Increased Attack Speed from an item will not necessarily translate into 10% faster attacks. To achieve faster actions, certain breakpoints must be reached, which vary for every class. The tables below list how much of a given stat is required to actually improve the action speed of the class for the stated action.

The best Mercenary for this build will probably be a Defensive Holy Freeze Act 2 Mercenary to help slow enemies nearby, as you will be getting into very close range and need to survive while your blasts go off.
