Warlock Fastest Leveling Build in Diablo 2
Below is a table for those who wish to play along and have a bit more guidance! Every level and quest that gives a Skill or Stat points is listed so you can build out your Warlock without any concern about messing up your build! That being said, while this guide is very detailed and exact you do not have to follow it 100% to have a successful playthrough. Every hero is slightly unique in their journey through the game, the items they find along the way, and how you want to play it! Feel free to make adjustments that feel right for your character and playstyle.
Warlock Leveling Tips
The Warlock is best leveled early on in the game using either Magic or Fire skills depending on the style preferred. Fire skills tend to be a little bit quicker early on\, so we recommend starting out in Ring of Fire and then moving into Flame Wave until you can hit Level 30, where Apocalypse adds a lot of damage. You can continue with Fire pretty well usually until Act 4 Nightmare where it can start to cause problems, however Apocalypse should be able to carry you through there and then Fire continues decently well until Act 4 Hell. It is probably a little bit faster to respec over to Magic though, plus it will be easier to handle immunities so this is the path we recommend.
One thing that can be done to help get through the game in Hell as a Fire Warlock and deal with immunities is either get a strong mercenary or invest some points into a Demon skill such as the Goatman or Tainted. If you do not, your Character may get stuck and have some troubles getting through the game without external help.
