Cosmic Fortune Rewards in FFXIV Cosmic Exploration
Cosmic Fortune is a mini game inside of Final Fantasy 14's Cosmic Exploration! This page provides all the information you may need for Cosmic Fortune including how it works, the best ways to spend Lunar Credits and all of the rewards.
What is Cosmic Fortune in FFXIV?
Cosmic Fortune is a roulette-styled mini-game inside of Cosmic Exploration granting you a chance to gain rare and valuable items by Spending Credits in each zone. 1,000 Region-specific Credits grants you a single spin from a choice of 2 different wheels which can have different items and odds.
Rare Fortune Wheels and Rarity
Fortune Wheels are not always fair and can be drastically better than the other. Some wheels for example only have 2 choices with a much higher chance at the carrot, while some may simply only give you 1 good option.
Different Wheels also have a different rarity, indicated by stars in the top right of the box. The rarity of a wheel depends more so on the value of the items themselves. For example the images below showcasing a 2-Star wheel with a 50% chance at carrot, but it gives an emote compared to the other wheel that is 3-Star but has a small chance at the mount.
Stellar Opportunities
Stellar Opportunities can appear on your wheel and if chosen, will provide you with another attempt but with more unique wheels which yield greater rewards. Stellar Opportunity wheels have a more unique background to the selection box however this is only visual.
Wheels with Stellar Opportunities tend to exclusively have rarer rewards or can even be a wheel with just a single reward.
Big Bang Fortunes
Big Bang Fortunes also grant you with a rarer wheel and increased
odds at good items. Exclusively obtainable via a
Big Bang Ticket which
is obtained upon completion of a Mech Ops as a pilot. Big Bank Tickets are
planet specific.
Mech Ops also cost 1,000 Region-specific Credits but you can only hold 1
pass at a time. This means it is often always best to ensure you have a
few thousand Credits stockpiled before spending any on the standard Cosmic Fortune.
Additionally, in Sinus Ardorum, you gain a chance at
Vacuum Suit Identification Key with every mission too which
is also one of the best items from Cosmic Fortune on that planet.
Cosmic Fortune Rewards
Listed below are all the rewards available from Cosmic Fortune separated by planet. While the most
valuable items such as the
Micro Rover are only available from
the carrot tier (outside of Stellar opportunities), many generic items such as materia and can be available
from multiple tiers and multiple planets.
