Trump's Totally Epic Card Reveal: Town Crier

Is Town Crier the most powerful card spoiled thus far?

Popular Twitch streamer and Hearthstone personality Trump just revealed a powerful new Warrior card on his Youtube channel:

To sum up my reaction to this card in a word:

WOW!!!!

We already know from our experience with Kobold Librarian how powerful a one drop that replaces itself is. With that said, Town Crier is arguably more powerful than Kobold Librarian. Sure, I'd rather have a 2/1 than a 1/2, but the fact that this card is guaranteed to hit a limited subset of cards within your deck means there are all kinds of ways you can take advantage of its Battlecry to guarantee that you draw meaningful cards.

The obvious thing to do Town Crier would be to play 2 copies of this along with the 3 most powerful Rush minions that Warrior has access to (similar to the Arcanologist + 3 Secret package most Mage decks run) so that you can guarantee Town Crier always draws a good card. From what we've seen so far, Darius Crowley and Militia Commander would fit the bill. I'd assume that this package of 5 cards would be an instant include in everything from aggro to control. Not because Rush cards are necessarily super powerful, but because Town Crier is super powerful. It also goes without saying this would be a snap 2-of in every Rush deck.

What do you say, folks? Is this the card that will return Warrior to the top tier of classes? I say yes, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Let us know what you think about Town Crier in the comments, and be sure to check out our Witchwood Hub for more spoilers from the upcoming expansion.

This probably is one of the most powerful cards in Witchwood set, auto include 2x until it rotates out not much to say here

I'm not the warrior kind of player but I would like to play Tempo Warrior a bit and this might be a reason to try it again :)

I'm surprised, a good card revealed oO.

Very strong card. It’s basically firefly but you get a good card in hand rather than another 1/2. You play this on turn 1, then woodcutter’s axe on 2 and you have a guaranteed target for the deathrattle of the weapon.

Not sure if it is the best card revealed so far, but it has to be a contender.  Strangely, it might be worse in tempo decks then control simply because tempo will want to run more the 3 rush cards, but it and woodcutters axe will still be the best cards in the deck.  Hopefully now rogue will get a good card.

My guess is they figured they could make a pretty quick buck printing this card as an epic for no apparent reason. Lame.

Sucks they made it epic. But it's probably for once a card that is rarity based clearly off power level. This is worthy of being an epic card.

Arcanologist Forge of Souls Sense Demons Ice Fishing Cavern Shinyfinder? Common.

Elven Minstrel Howling Commander Tol'vir Warden? Rare.

Captain's Parrot Small-Time Recruits? Epic.

Arena offer rates.

Why do you think Counterfeit Coin is rare?

Here is what you need to know:
You’ll now be able to see your watch time progress towards any given drop. You will no longer receive drop rewards automatically. After you’ve claimed a reward on Twitch, please make sure you’re logging into the region you’d like to receive the drop(s) on, as the first region you log into will be where we deliver your packs. It can take up to ~30 minutes to receive your reward(s) in game after claiming. You must link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts before you can receive a drop.

Navigate to the Connections tab of the Settings menu. Find the Battle.net section, then follow the instructions after selecting a region and clicking Connect.
