Zerek's Cloning Gallery Revealed On Omni/Stone

Spoiled today on Omni/Stone, Zerek's Cloning Gallery lives up to the potential of The Boomsday Project's Legendary Spell cycle.

When Legendary Spells were announced for The Boomsday Project, we immediately knew that these cards had the potential to bring some incredibly exciting effects to the game. Revealed today on Omni/Stone was the Legendary Priest spell for the expansion, Zerek's Cloning Gallery, which lives up to every bit of that potential:

First of all, as a dedicated Vivid Velen OTK Priest player I could not possibly be more excited for this card. My first instinct with Zerek's Cloning Gallery is to summon a big, nasty board of combo minions such as Prophet VelenMalygos, and Radiant Elemental, then resummon all of them the following turn with a Diamond Spellstone. Of course, this card won't do much if you have already drawn all of your combo minions, but if you've already drawn all of your combo minions then you wouldn't really need this card in the first place! You can even dig for Zerek's Cloning Gallery with Shadow Visions to maximize the chances that you can summon every combo minion in the deck.

The next obvious place for Zerek's Cloning Gallery is an Awaken the Makers deck, summoning a board full of Deathrattle minions to proc the quest and accrue insane amounts of value. As mentioned on the Omni/Stone stream, you could even throw Baron Geddon into your deck to immediately destroy your board of minions and nab all of their Deathrattle effects. We have already seen several Priest cards from The Boomsday Project which support Deathrattle minions, and it isn't hard to imagine a world where Zerek's Cloning Gallery puts those cards over the top.

What do you think about Priest's Legendary Spell? Can you brew up any new OTK's with it? Let us know in the comment section, and be sure to check out our Boomsday Project hub for more spoilers from the upcoming expansion.

Got a feeling this one is going to be like some of the Deathknight cards.     Very cool and game changing when you draw it.    But half the time it'll be in bottom area of your deck, so impossible to truly count on it and build a deck around it, at best it can be thrown into a deck with other win conditions and be another option.

The big "unless" is if you're able to search for it?

Well, two shadow visions gives you two goes at it. So you can probably play it on turn 9 most games if you want to.

Seems pretty much bad to me, by turn 9 you've drawn a lot of cards and possible you've already draw what you wanted this card to summon and since this summon a board of 1/1 unless everything has divine shield a single Arcane Explosion for 2 measly mana destroy your 9 mana play, yeah you have to put stuff like Skelemancer to protect your stuff from AOE  but the problem with the card is that summon 7 minions and you're not sure of which since you can draw any of the key ones making the card a 9 mana 7/7.

Even in the best combo scenario you can summon Velen Malygos and Radiant Elemental so you can use a 1 mana 10 damage Mind Blast that won't do much.

With deathrattle maybe is a little better since you can fit Skelemancer and Obsidian Statue and most of your minions will have deathrattle so their death won't be a problem but honestly you can compare this to playing a full life Obsidian Statue for 9 and doesn't seem great to me since in standard there are no Sylvanas or Ragnaros or anything similar to fill your board with

Just to clarify: in this scenario, it would deal 20 damage.

Well again that's the question, will Shadow Visions work on a legendary "spell"?     The DK cards are their own thing, they don't count as a spell or such for things that proc or search, not sure if these will follow that logic or not.    More likely since they're actually labelled spells by Blizzard but they're not always consistent.

Good enabler in combo priest, probably won't win you the game on the spot, but it will guarentee your combo is in the rez pool which is good.  But the real question is, why don't you just play shudderwock?  It will almost certainly be a better deck.  Maybe the answer is, this speeds the combo up enough to be the anti shudderwock combo deck?  Maybe being a worse/less consistent shudderwock deck doesn't matter if the control decks still can't go underneath you and you are fast enough to beat shaman.  Who knows.  Seems worth experimenting with at least.  Seems great as just a value card in quest priest.  Like this might as well be an ultimate infestation.
