Saviors of Uldum: Three New Cards Revealed

Diseased Vulture, Neferset Ritualist and Anubisath Warbringer are the latest cards to be revealed from Saviors of Uldum.


Two new cards have been revealed on the Japanese website UDN, in addition to one which was shared by Blizzard ANZ overnight.

From UDN, we got Diseased Vulture and Neferset Ritualist:


Diseased Vulture has a similar condition to Duskbat and Nethersoul Buster, but arguably a greater payoff than either. It's also repeatable, rather than being a one-time effect - if you stick this card to the board or combine it with multiple self-damage effects like Spirit Bomb, it can get some major value.

Neferset Ritualist has solid stats for a 2-Mana Minion and an interesting effect reminiscent of Hozen Healer. Restoring Health to Minions isn't always the most useful effect in Hearthstone, but this card does a lot for its cost.

Priest already has good incentives to run Minions like Injured Blademaster and Damaged Stegotron which damage themselves thanks to their synergy with resurrect effects (including Psychopomp, a powerful new addition in Saviors of Uldum). It's possible that Neferset Ritualist could be played alongside these minions to restore them to their original stats, although as a 2/3 itself it's a poor addition to the pool of resurrect minions.

We also saw Anubisath Warbringer revealed by Blizzard ANZ on Twitter late last night.


It doesn't look like much on its own, but as an expensive Deathrattle minion it could have some utility alongside synergy cards like Coffin Crasher and the new Rogue Legendary, Anka, the Buried

Anubisath Warbringer was revealed with a short video that you really should go and see for yourself. It's a time lapse of the card being sculpted out of sand, and the craftsmanship on display is seriously impressive.

Diseased Vulture is pretty strong, a fine addition in any Zoo-ish deck and even a consideration in more control-oriented decks to force out answers.

Neferset Ritualist... Murder on wheels in arena, but constructed... Most decks want to either cheat big minions out or flood with sacrificial weenies. That leaves Priest, but a 2/3 is terrible in a ressurect deck... Myeah...

Anubisat Warbringer is just meh. Played for his full mana cost it's just too slow. In a Plot Twist Warlock deck to combo off Bertug and Dorian... maybe? As for the Anka - Necrium Vial combo people suggested, I don't buy it. You need to play that one exactly on curve to be efficient, and even then it's still two full mid-range turns where all you get on the board is a lousy 5/5 and 1/1 in the class that desperately needs tempo... Nah, bro', nah!

      Blizzard released the 17.2.2 client patch for Hearthstone to fix a bug related to the closed shop that occurred due to a missing runtime dependency.
      We’re currently in the process of deploying a 17.2.2 client patch that will address the following items:
      Fixed a bug that would cause a crash on mobile when clicking the eye to see who is spectating. Fixed a few various issues that would lock the game state when playing certain cards from hand. Fixed a bug where some players in Europe were only given the option of Warrior as their free deck after graduating the new player ranks. Fixed a bug where the shop would be closed when launching Hearthstone due to a missing runtime dependency. If the shop is still closed after updating to 17.2.2, try swapping to another region on the launcher and swapping back before opening Hearthstone again.
      The incorrect Mana display bug for mobile users will be fixed in the next update.
      Any updates on when the incorrect mana bug for mobile players will be fixed?

      A new blog post has been released, detailing a dozen card changes coming to the game on Monday 18th of May.
      Shaman is getting some much needed help, since three of its cards will be buffed - although it is debatable if these buffs will be enough to move the class out of the bottom.
      As far as the nerfs are concerned, two more Demon Hunter cards (who would have thought?) are getting toned down. Scavenger's Ingenuity, Shadowjeweler Hanar, Blackjack Stunner, Imprisoned Scrap Imp, Bloodboil Brute, Bloodsworn Mercenary are also getting tweaked.
      Nerfed cards will be eligible for a refund until June 1st.
      The patch also brings a bug fix for Ethereal Conjurer, which was causing the game to lock by not offering any Discover options. 
      Don't forget you can grab a free Nemsy until May 19, as part of Patch 17.2.0.
