Time to Hunt Gunslinger Gearing Guide for Lost Ark

Last updated on Feb 19, 2023 at 12:00 by Spin 1 comment

Gunslinger blazes through enemies with three types of weapons; the Pistol, Shotgun, and Sniper. Gunslinger offers a unique playstyle with weapon-swapping and multi-range capability, as well as one of the highest APM rotations in the game. Gunslinger comes with two different playstyles, Peacemaker and Time to Hunt.

1.

Time To Hunt: Accessories, Card Sets, Engravings and Gearsets

Time to Hunt Icon Time to Hunt grants us a large percentage of Critical Rate and has quick cooldowns on Pistol skills that make maintaining Bleed Icon Bleed or Adrenaline Icon Adrenaline stacks a non-issue.

2.

Card Sets

Card sets are shared across both engravings for Gunslinger. In the early game you can use cards that help with survivability such as Field Boss II Icon Field Boss II, We'll Meet Again Icon We'll Meet Again and Forest of Giants Icon Forest of Giants. For optimal damage you'll want Light of Salvation Icon Light of Salvation at 18 or 30 awakening, though is quite a late game goal. Lostwind Cliff Icon Lostwind Cliff provides additional Critical Rate and is a solid stand-in as you gradually work towards Light of Salvation Icon Light of Salvation.

3.

Engravings

There aren't plenty of options to choose from, Time to Hunt Icon Time to Hunt's engravings are straightforward.

Engraving Priority Description
Time to Hunt Icon Time to Hunt Necessity Defintely run this at level 3, higher Critical Rate means less investment into the Crit stat.
Grudge Icon Grudge Very High This is a staple damage engraving. As a DPS you should be using this as an immediate slot-in for your setup.
Peacemaker Icon Peacemaker Very High With how efficient this is at level 1, you should always bring this engraving on your builds.
Keen Blunt Weapon Icon Keen Blunt Weapon High Scales incredibly well given the high Critical Rate. At an easily obtainable 60% chance, you'll get around 16% damage from this.
Adrenaline Icon Adrenaline High Can be taken at any level, the additional Critial Rate is highly valued. Generally taken most at Lv.2 in a 4x3+2+1 build.
Cursed Doll Icon Cursed Doll Optional Highlights your squishiness while providing Attack Power. An alternative to Hit Master Icon Hit Master if you already have books for it.
Hit Master Icon Hit Master Optional None of your attacks have postitionals and is generally cheaper than Cursed Doll Icon Cursed Doll. The favored option between the two that rounds out your fourth level 3 engraving.
4.

Gearsets

Starting in Legendary gear, you'll want the Preordained Diligence Icon Preordained Diligence set from Argos to give you additional Critical Rate. You can use the 2-piece gear from Valtan Normal but it's only recommended if you intend on parking your character at 1415. Once you obtain Relic gear, you have some options depending on what build you want.

  • Nightmare Icon Nightmare Flower: Provides the most damage overall, requiring an Awakening use at the start of an encounter.
  • Salvation Icon Poem of Salvation: Grants desired Attack Speed with similar damage to Nightmare depending on your weapon's quality. Building stacks from 0 doesn't take long but losing them by proccing "Take a Break" will be a huge damage loss.
  • Hallucination Icon Shrieking Hallucination: Gives us even more Critical Rate if you're wanting to invest more into Spec/Swiftness or are considering dropping Adrenaline Icon Adrenaline.
  • Dominion Icon Dominion Fang: Only taken with the Swift focused build for incredibly high APM. Breaks your fingers if you aren't careful.
