Mists of Pandaria Classic Holy Paladin Stat Priority
On this page, you will find out the optimal PvE stat priority for your Holy Paladin in Mists of Pandaria Classic. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations.
Stat Priority for Holy Paladin
The stat priority for Holy
Paladin is as follows:
- Intellect
- Spirit
- Mastery
- Haste
- Critical Strike
Intellect
Intellect is the primary stat you will be focusing on as a Holy Paladin as it is the only way to increase your Spell Power which is what your heals scale off of. Every item you will be seeking will have this stat, meaning that you don't need to think about it more than normal.
Spirit
Spirit increases your Mana Regeneration and is a highly desired stat, allowing you to ensure that
you are able to cast spells consistently throughout a fight. At times where you are being very aggressive
with your mana and still can't find yourself using all of it, Spirit may decrease in value slightly.
If you are a Human the racial
The Human Spirit
also directly scales with your Spirit Rating.
Mastery Rating
Mastery is an extremely powerful stat for Holy Paladins, causing your heals to generate shields on your targets. Generally this will be your most powerful secondary stat assuming you are not near a haste breakpoint.
Haste Rating
Haste rating is a great stat as a Holy Paladin as it makes your casts quicker allowing you to get more heals out in a shorter
period of time, it also gives you the ability to gain extra ticks of certain abilities. In general you should not reforge Mastery into Haste, and will prefer to have Mastery on every item, but if you do find yourself extremely close to a breakpoint and playing a Eternal Flame build, you can choose to opt for slightly more haste to hit the breakpoint.
Eternal Flame gains an additional tick at 3506, 7170, and 10867 Haste. Given that mastery is so strong, you will tend to avoid aiming for one of these breakpoints.
Critical Strike Rating
Critical Strike Rating causes your heals to do double healing, and procs Infusion of Light. While this can
massively improve how our rotation feels, it does not offer enough of a throughput increase to be worth stacking.
You will tend to reforge this stat to Haste, Mastery, or Spirit when possible.
