Promeia Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Promeia build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Promeia is a powerful S-Rank Ice Anomaly DPS Agent who deals most of her damage during the enemy's stun window through her Ablooms, while also increasing squad members' Anomaly DMG. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Promeia, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.

Promeia's Best W-Engines

Listed below are some W-Engines likely to be useful for Promeia. As Promeia is not yet released, information regarding her kit is subject to change, and W-Engine recommendations are not final. It is not recommended to farm or build W-Engines solely based on information before Promeia's release. Recommendations below are only speculative.

Promeia's Signature W-Engine
Promeia's Signature
Increases the equipper's Ice DMG by 35/41/47/53/60%. When the equipper deals Ice DMG with [EX Special Attack], their Attribute Anomaly DMG increases by 7.5/8.5/9.5/10.5/11.5% for 40s. Max 2 stacks. Can trigger once per use of a skill. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Promeia's signature W-Engine increases her Anomaly Mastery and Ice DMG, with the effect stacking further when using an EX Special Attack. Anomaly Mastery increases Promeia's anomaly build-up rate and her Anomaly Proficiency (through her core skill). The Ice DMG increases her Abloom's damage and is easily stackable as Promeia uses her EX Specials multiple times in a row. Likely to be Promeia's best in slot, but not necessary to get as other S-Rank and A-Rank options can be viable.
Fusion Compiler
Data Flood
Increases ATK by 12/15/18/21/24%.
When using a Special Attack or EX Special Attack, the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency is increased by 25/31/37/43/50 for 8s, stacking up to 3 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Fusion Compiler will likely be Promeia's next best option, as it provides useful stats such as PEN and ATK% but does not limit W-Engine effects to specific Attributes unlike other S-Rank options. Fusion Compiler can also increase Anomaly Proficiency when using an EX Special, stacking up to 3 times for 75 bonus Anomaly Proficiency. This effect should be easily stacked by Promeia.
Other S-Rank W-Engines
Other Anomaly S-Rank W-Engines restrict some W-Engine effects to specific Attributes, which limits their value on Promeia. However, some options can still be used as stat sticks - although they may not be strictly better than A-Rank alternatives.

Some options include:

  • Angel in the Shell
  • Practiced Perfection
  • Timeweaver
Rainforest Gourmet
Dinner's Ready!
For every 10 Energy consumed, the equipper gains a buff that increases ATK by 2.5/2.8/3.2/3.6/4% for 10s, stacking up to 10 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Rainforest Gourmet is probably going to be a decent option on Promeia as it increases Anomaly Proficiency, and through its effect increases ATK for every 10 energy consumed, stacking up to 10 times. Promeia's rotation revolves around her EX Specials, which will allow her to eventually stack this effect.
Electro-Lip Gloss
Kiss of Death
When there are enemies inflicted with Attribute Anomaly on the field, the equipper's ATK increases by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16% and they deal an additional 15/17.5/20/22.5/25% more DMG to the target.
The Battle Pass W-Engine, Electro Lip Gloss, is a solid option for most Anomaly Agents. Promeia should also make good use of the Anomaly Proficiency, ATK, and DMG increasing effects.
Weeping Gemini
Lingering Cries
Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30/34/38/42/48, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Weeping Gemini is a decent A-Rank option for most Anomaly Agents and will likely remain a viable option for Promeia as it increases ATK and provides up to 120 (P1) - 146 (P5) Anomaly Proficiency.
Roaring Ride
Collision Potential
When EX Special Attack hits an enemy, one of three possible effects is randomly triggered for 5 seconds. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. The same types of effects cannot stack. Repeated triggers reset the duration, allowing several effects to be active at once:
Increases the equipper's ATK by 8/9.2/10.4/11.6/12.8%, increases the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency by 40/46/52/58/64, or increases the equipper's Anomaly Buildup Rate by 25/28/32/36/40%.
Roaring Ride can be a decent option on Promeia as it provides a random effect after using an EX Special, with all the possible effects being useful for Promeia.

Best Drive Discs for Promeia

As Promeia is not yet released, information regarding her kit is subject to change, and Drive Disc recommendations are not final. It is not recommended to farm or build Drive Discs solely based on information before Promeia's release. Recommendations below are only speculative.

Notes From the Chained
2-Piece Set: ...
4-Piece Set: ...

Notes from the Chained is a Drive Disc set released in version 2.7 and is likely meant to be used on Promeia, as it looks like her best in slot option. Notes From the Chained increases Ice DMG, increases Anomaly Proficiency after triggering an Abloom, and finally increases both Anomaly and Disorder DMG after triggering the Ice Attribute Anomaly.

This set is likely going to be Promeia's best and primary option as it provides useful buffs to Promeia allowing her to increase her own damage. Aside from this set, other options don't provide meaningful value to Promeia's kit.

2-Piece Recommendations include:

  • Phaethon's Melody
  • Freedom Blues (Any 2pc AP)
  • Astral Voice (Any 2pc ATK)
  • Polar Metal
Freedom Blues
2-Piece Set: Anomaly Proficiency +30
4-Piece Set: When an EX Special Attack hits an enemy, reduce the target's Anomaly Buildup RES to the equipper's Attribute by 20% for 8s. This effect does not stack with others of the same attribute.
Freedom Blues' primary use would be in a Mono-Ice team alongside Hoshimi Miyabi, where Promeia's personal damage would be traded for more Disorders (via the set's Anomaly build-up resistance decrease). More Disorders with Miyabi should allow her to use her Enhanced Basic Attack more often, although it will have to be seen if the trade-off is worth it.

Promeia's Stat Priority

Disc 4: Anomaly Proficiency > ATK %
Disc 5: Ice DMG > ATK % / Pen
Disc 6: Anomaly Mastery
Substats: Anomaly Proficiency > ATK % > PEN > ATK

As an Anomaly Agent, Promeia does not need Crit stats and instead focuses on building Anomaly Proficiency and Attack to maximize her Ablooms and Attribute Anomaly DMG.

It is worth noting that unlike Vivian or other Agents that trigger Abloom, Promeia's Abloom damage does not scale with her Anomaly Mastery. Anomaly Mastery will likely still be the best option for her 6th Drive Disc slot as it increases Anomaly Buildup, and her core skill converts AM into Anomaly Proficiency.

Promeia's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: > > > >> >

While Promeia's skills don't deal massive damage, you would still want to level up her frequently used skills such as EX Special, and Chain / Ultimate to increase their Anomaly build-up which scales with skill level. Her Assists might also be worth leveling to increase daze dealt, possibly allowing for easier stuns.
