Delubrum Reginae Normal (DRN) Special Dungeon Guide
Delubrum Reginae, also known as 'DRN', is a special dungeon that can be can taken on and completed by up to 24 players. Players will receive a scaling echo buff when attempting it with less than 24 players, and with enough honor buffs as well as proper usage of Lost Actions, skilled players will be able to clear the duty solo, though parties of five to eight players are usually recommended.
Entry Requirements
In order to unlock DR, players must first attain Resistance Rank 10 and begin the quest Fit for a Queen. They will then be able to queue for DR by speaking to Sjeros in Gangos.
DR is unique in that it has a forced maximum queue time of 10 minutes after the first player on the Data Centre has queued, after which it will forcibly enter all queued players into an instance regardless of how many there are. This has the benefit of ensuring that players are not unable to enter the duty if there are not the full 24 players available, while having the downside of forcing nearly all groups to queue in Gangos for 10 minutes before being able to enter the instance. This is not a major issue for first-time players, but those looking to farm for rewards or relic progression may find this tiresome.
Due to this factor, most runs are done on Party Finder. As Free Trial players do not have access to this function, they should either be invited by a paying player prior to queueing, or aim to queue at the same time as other queueing players. Discord servers are likely to be hosting organised runs in the future, in order to allow Free Trial players to more easily clear the content, so FT players should be on the lookout for these opportunities or look into making them themselves.
Preparation
Players should prepare suitable Lost Actions for this duty. All players should use an Essence of some kind no matter what, as they are easily accessible and can provide extra beneficial effects to other Lost Actions that players may wish to use. Damaging actions are always beneficial, but healing or resurrecting actions are extremely helpful when playing with a smaller party or without healers. First-time players should aim to have at least one Resistance Reraiser to hand in order to mitigate lethal mistakes.
Unique to DR are certain specific Essences, one for each role. These provide an extremely strong mix of bonuses to player stats, and each also grant hidden bonuses. These all require Resistance Rank 15 to use, and many of their effects are specifically geared towards being used in Delubrum Reginae: Savage. The fragments needed to obtain these can be obtained directly from DR, bought on the marketboard for gil, or bought from the Resistance Quartermaster in the Bozjan Southern Front for Bozjan Clusters.
- Pure Essence of the Indomitable: Using Lost Sacrifice has a chance to not inflict the Doom debuff on the user when used.
- Pure Essence of the Divine: Using Lost Arise has a chance to work even while the target is under the effect of Resurrection Restricted in Delubrum Reginae: Savage.
- Pure Essence of the Duelist: Doubles the duration of Banner of Honored Sacrifice, and removes the Damage over Time effect.
- Pure Essence of the Fiendhunter: Adds a Refresh effect to Lost Cure II, which massively increases the MP regen of the target. Using this afflicts the user with a Slow effect for 18 seconds, which stacks each time the skill is used within that timeframe.
- Pure Essence of the Elder: Adds a Bravery effect to Lost Cure IV, granting all party members within range a 10% damage bonus for 60 seconds.
- Pure Essence of the Gambler: Removes most of the negative results from Dynamis Dice, and increases the chance of the result being a Healer LB3 to around 33%.
Upon entering the duty, players will see a Lost Finds Cache in front of the player spawn location. Additionally, unlike in most other instanced battle content, players are freely able to leave and join parties, in order to ensure that roles such as healers are present across all groups.
Entry
Upon entering the duty, players should ensure that all participating players are in parties with other players. An equal distribution of roles is not necessary, but ensuring all parties have at least one healer and one other player with the ability to raise (either innately or through the use of Lost Actions) will ensure that no deaths occur due to a lack of healing.
Encounter Guides
Due to the number of encounters within this raid, they have all been split into separate pages accessible below for ease of reading and reference.
Rewards
Each chest within DR provides a number of possible rewards. These include
Bozjan Silver Coins,
Bozjan Gold Coins, Forgotten Fragments, Field Notes, Housing Items, and Orchestrion Rolls. The final chests
also have a chance to contain some rare drops, including
Modern Aesthetics - Early to Rise, the
Queen's Guard Barding, and the
Gabriel Mark III Identification Key.
Completing DR also provides up to 630,000 Mettle, and 400 Allagan Tomestones of Poetics. Players currently
progressing the quest A New Path of Resistance for the relic weapons will receive three
Timeworn Artifacts, while players currently progressing the quest Irresistible will receive
two
Raw Emotions. It is possible to obtain both of these items at the same time if both quests are
active, allowing players to farm two stages of the relic at once.
