Trinity Avowed Guide for Delubrum Reginae (Normal)

Trinity Avowed is the third boss of Delubrum Reginae. Its core mechanic is its ability to swap between three different weapons, those being Staff, Bow, and Sword, with each one having different mechanics.

The boss will always start holding no weapon, then loop through Staff, Bow, and Sword in that order repeatedly.

As a reminder, all encounters within DRN will afflict the debuff Twice-come Ruin for two minutes when players are hit by an avoidable attack or mechanic. If you are afflicted with this again before the first debuff expires, you will be cursed with Doom and die instantly. Due to this, first-time players should focus on personal safety over keeping their damage up.

Boss Ability Quick-Guide

  • Glory of Bozja: Raidwide.
  • Wrath of Bozja: Cone-shaped AoE tankbuster. Can be reflected with Lost Reflect to deal additional damage to the boss.
  • Hot and Cold: The main mechanic of the fight. Sets each player's Temperature debuff to +1, -1, +2, or -2 at random. This must be returned to 0 by the end of the debuff timer, or players will instantly die, and how this is done depends on the weapon currently being used. The first two casts of this will only inflict +1 or -1.
  • Unseen Eye: Summons untargetable adds on the outside of the arena. These will do telegraphed line AoEs that match the pattern on the floor.
  • Allegiant Arsenal: Swaps weapons. The boss will always follow this up with an attack unique to the weapon it swapped to.
  • Fury of Bozja: Used when swapping to Staff. Telegraphed point-blank AoE.
  • Freedom of Bozja: Summons four meteors at the corners of the arena, each one doing proximity damage upon landing. Each meteor will do a telegraphed point-blank AoE, and display the Temperature gauge above itself. Players need to get hit by the meteor with the opposite element to their current one, and it must also have the same number of filled bars. The first cast will only summon meteors with +1 or -1, while all future ones will have all four possible Temperatures summoned.
  • Flashvane: Massive telegraphed cone-shaped AoE, with the only safe zone being behind the boss.
  • Flames of Bozja: Massive telegraphed AoE that covers move of the room, leaving only a single column on either the left or right side of the arena safe. This will persist after being cast.
  • Shimmering Shot: Summons four sets of arrows displaying the Temperature gauge at the opposite side of the arena, and marks a pattern of lines on the floor. Only two sets of arrows will be summoned for the first cast. These arrows will follow the pattern of lines on the floor, always turning left or right at the right horizontal line they come to while moving towards the safe part of the arena. These paths will be marked out one by one from left to right in order to aid players in solving the mechanic, and then the arrows will follow their marked paths towards the safe part of the arena. When they reach it, they will explode in an AoE that covers one tile of the arena. Players will need to get hit by the set of arrows with the opposite element to their current one, which must also have the same number of filled bars.
  • Infernal Slash: Massive telegraphed cone-shaped AoE, with the only safe zone being in front of the boss.
  • Blade of Entropy: Late-telegraphed half-room AoE that is cast four times in a row. The first two hits will always be +2 or -2, while the last two hits will always be +1 or -1. Players will need to get hit by the sword slash with the opposite element to their current one, which must also have the same number of filled bars.

Tips and Tricks

  • Players that die at any point should be careful if they are raised while the Temperature debuff is active, as they will die upon taking any temperature-affecting damage. One tile will always be unaffected during Shimmering Shot.
  • There will always be multiple safe tiles within the centre 3x3 of the arena during Unseen Shot. As such, it can be easily solved by picking three adjacent tiles to watch, being one corner and the two cardinals next to it, as this will ensure that one of these is always safe.
  • During Blade of Entropy, players who resolved their Temperature gauge during the first part of the mechanic may accidentally stand in the third hit of the attack. This error can be corrected by standing in the fourth hit, as these will always be opposites and will balance each other out.

Rewards and Proceeding Onwards

Clearing Trinity Avowed will reward players with a personal treasure coffer that only they can see, which can be found near the exit of the boss arena.

The walkway between Trinity Avowed and the next encounter will be safe.

The next section is The Queen.
