Phantom Relic Weapon Guide in FFXIV
Phantom Weapons are the level 100 Dawntrail Relics. Once fully upgraded, these relics will be best-in-slot for each respective job at the end of the expansion.
Like previous Relics from Stormblood and Shadowbringers, this series has additional side content tied to it that you must progress through to obtain your weapon, though the option to progress them outside of this content remains.
Unlocking the Relic Weapons (Step 1, i745 Penumbrae)
As these relics are linked to the new Occult Crescent content, players must progress that questline in order to unlock them. The first quest, One Last Hurrah, can be found in Tuliyollal after completing the Main Scenario Quest Dawntrail.
The first quest in the chain is Arcane Artistry, which can be unlocked after progressing the storyline to a certain point. Upon progressing this quest, you will unlock the ability to obtain Demiatma from FATEs in Dawntrail areas, as well as both FATEs and Critical Engagements in The South Horn. Three pieces of each of the six unique Demiatma are required to obtain your first relic.
Verdigris Demiatma can be obtained in Kozama'uka, or the southwestern section of the South Horn.
Azurite Demiatma can be obtained in Urqopacha, or the southeastern section of the South Horn.
Malachite Demiatma can be obtained in Yak T'el, or the western caves of the South Horn.
Realgar Demiatma can be obtained in Shaaloani, or the northwestern beaches of the South Horn.
Caput Mortuum Demiatma can be obtained in Heritage Found, or the eastern citadel of the South Horn.
Orpiment Demiatma can be obtained in Living Memory, or the central plains of the South Horn.
Once the player completes this process, they will require 1500 Allagan Tomestones of Heliometry to obtain their first i745 Phantom Penumbrae weapon as part of the quest Forging the Phantasmal, as well as all weapons afterwards.

After completing the quest Forging the Phantasmal, players will be able to continue the questline to the next step with the quests Keeping the Old Ways Alive, Aether, Aether, Everywhere and Wrought by Hands Phantasmal.
For the quest Keeping the Old Ways Alive, players must collect five items, listed below. Please note that all items can also be purchased from other players on the Marketboard.
Rroneek Glue, an item purchasable from an Independent Merchance in Tuliyollal for 300,000 gil.
Ut'ohmu Siderite, an item purchasable from Rral Wuruq in Yak T'el for 600 Bicolor Gemstones.
Synthetic Dark Matter Alpha, craftable by Blacksmith, Armorer and Goldsmith.
Synthetic Dark Matter Beta, craftable by Carpenter, Leatherworker and Weaver.
Synthetic Dark Matter Gamma, craftable by Alchemist and Culinarian.
During the following quest, Aether, Aether, Everywhere, players will be given an Aetherwell array which can be used to confirm progress for this quest. The Array consists of four Vessels that must each be filled to 10,000 points of Light in order to complete them. Each Vessel is filled by completing a different type of Duty Roulette.

- The Blue Water Vessel is filled by completing the Alliance Raids Duty Roulette.
- The Red Fire Vessel is filled by completing the Trials Duty Roulette.
- The Yellow Earth Vessel is filled by completing the Normal Raids Duty Roulette.
The amount of Light gained from each Roulette depends on the specific duty completed, and players will also gain a daily bonus of Aether for the first completed Roulette of each type each day.
- Completing High-Level Dungeons rewards between 270 and 545 points per duty, with a daily bonus of 376 points.
- Completing Alliance Raids rewards between 356 and 999 points per duty, with a daily bonus of 101 points.
- Completing Trials rewards between 31 and 295 points per duty, with a daily bonus of 614 points.
- Completing Normal Raids rewards between 82 and 261 points per duty, with a daily bonus of 614 points.
Upon completing the final quest of this step, Wrought by Hands Phantasmal, which requires 1500 Allagan Tomestones of Heliometry, players will be rewarded with a Phantom Umbrae weapon for the job that they started and completed the quest on. You must have a relic for this job from the previous step in order to do this. Further weapons can also be upgraded for the same amount of tomes.
