Last updated on Nov 27, 2021 at 14:00 by Lyra 2 comments

The Challenge Log is a set of weekly tasks players can complete for great amounts of experience points, gil, and other rewards! On this page, you will learn how to unlock the Challenge Log and complete all its entries.

1.

The Challenge Log

The Challenge Log is a list of objectives that reward the player with currency and experience points upon completion. The Challenge Log refreshes every week and is a great source of weekly bonus experience for completing common tasks in game

2.

How to Unlock the Challenge Log

To unlock the Challenge Log, players must complete the quest "Rising to the Challenge." Players must be level 15 and have completed their respective "Call of the Sea" quest in the main scenario questline of Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, or Ul'dah. Talk to I'tolwann in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (x11.4, y11) to receive the Challenge Log!

Challenge Log

You can open the Challenge Log by opening the Logs menu and selecting Challenge Log. Entries can be sorted by completion. Additionally, you can check when the Challenge Log will reset by looking at the Time Limit in the bottom right. This is the same time as all other weekly resets in FFXIV.

3.

Challenge Log Entries

The Challenge Log is divided into multiple categories, which are comprised of different types of content in FFXIV, ranging from dungeons to the Gold Saucer. Additionally, there is a category for completing Challenge Log entries that rewards players with a decent sum of gil. All experience rewards are granted on the class the player is actively playing as when the entry is completed. For example, a player could complete four dungeons on Warrior, then complete one dungeon on Paladin to receive Paladin experience for the Dungeon Master entry.

We have compiled a list of all Challenge Log entries and their rewards below. Note that if you do not have the specific content unlocked, it will not appear in the Challenge Log.

Maximizing Challenge Log Rewards

The Challenge Log exists as a way to introduce players to the various types of content available in FFXIV. Do not be pressured to finish them all, as there are plenty of sources for experience and currency in game. Focus on completing entries related to your in-game goals. For example, if you are levelling a Disciple of War or Magic job, complete three dungeons via Duty Roulette, two more dungeons, and commend a player at the end of each instance to gain 35% of your current level. If you are levelling crafters and gatherers, finish those entries. If you want a mount from the Gold Saucer, complete the Gold Saucer entries, and make sure to use an MGP bonus buff while you are at it!
