Welcome to our guide to the Clyteum, an endgame dungeon released in Patch 7.5. This guide aims to prepare players for the dungeon so they will know what to expect, with simple mechanic instructions and notes on what to watch out for.

1.

Introduction

Dungeon 13 Banner FFXIV

The Clyteum was once the imperial army's largest manufactory, supplying munitions and war machines to sustain Garlemald's relentless territorial expansion. Where its cavernous halls once rang with the clamor of industrial production, they now resound with the shrieks of countless voidsent who emerge from fissures without cease. Jullus and the Garlean community hasten to contain the threat, but will need all the help they can get to secure victory...

Max-level dungeons should be done with wall-to-wall pulls, as player gear outscales any incoming damage the mobs do. Make sure to mitigate the packs and use effective healing and damage cooldowns to burn the trash down quickly.

2.1.

First Boss Trash Mobs

No mobs in these trash packs are threatening.

2.2.

Eye of the Scorpion

The first boss uses the following abilities.

  • Eyes on Me: Raidwide magic damage.
  • Petrifying Beam: A large conal AoE that moves slightly before locking in its position.
  • Motion Scanner: A motion scanner AoE moves across the arena. Standing in it gives you the Motion Tracker debuff, which knocks you up if you take an action or move.
  • Penetrator Missile: AoE stack marker on a healer.
2.3.

Second Boss Trash Mobs

The Visitant Trapper does fairly large AoEs, Arachne Web. Since the path is small, be careful not to overlap them.

2.4.

Chort

The second boss uses the following abilities.

  • Ripples of Gloom: Raidwide magic damage.
  • Mortifying Flesh: Chort begins to spin and faces a direction. It dashes in that direction and then rolls around the arena, dashing across when it stops.
  • Bodyweight Exorcism: Knockback from the centre of the arena.
  • Basic Vomit: Chort faces a direction and does a conal AoE.
  • Bodyweight Exorcism: Four towers that need to be stacked and soaked.
  • Evil Emission: Marked AoEs on all players.
  • Profane Pressure: AoE stack marker on a healer.
2.5.

Final Boss Trash Mobs

No mobs in these trash packs are threatening.

2.6.

Malphas

The final boss uses the following abilities.

  • Rubbish Disposal: Raidwide magic damage.
  • Void Dark: Malphas faces a direction and does a conal AoE.
  • Scrap Meddle: Line AoEs that summon puppets on the ground.
  • Puppet Strings: Malphas commands puppets to do attacks. Small puppets in the arena do circle AoEs, while large puppets around the arena do conal AoEs through the middle.
  • Gluttonous Wire: AoE stack marker on a healer.
  • String Up: Malphas turns players into puppets if they are not moving.
  • Shadow Play: AoE tank buster.
  • Puppet Mastery: Malphas casts Puppet Strings, but the Puppets spin around the arena first.
  • Wrathful Wire: Marked AoEs on all players.

To dodge puppets, avoid the clump of circle AoE puppets and look for where the large puppets are. Dodge their conal AoE, avoiding the area opposite of both.

3.

Loot

Mistwake drops item level 765 Praemagitek equipment.
