Lynette Build Guide, Best Artifacts, Weapons and Talent Priority

Lynette is primarily used as an Anemo off-field DPS and Support character. While you can build her as a main DPS, this requires her C6. We will go over all build options, as well as Lynette build as a reaction support only. However, note that we do recommend you build her as an off-field DPS!

3.

Lynette's Build Options

Off-Field DPS Off-Field Reaction Support On-Field DPS (Requires C6)
3.1.

Off-Field DPS Lynette Build

This is our recommended way to build Lynette. Lynette's Burst allows her to create a Booglecat Box which will deal Anemo DMG while absorbing another element to deal corresponding DMG, and it also taunts nearby enemies.

BiS Weapon Favonius Sword
Alternative Weapons
  1. Fleuve Cendre Ferryman
  2. Sacrificial Sword
  3. Amenoma Kageuchi
  4. Skyward Blade
  5. Freedom-Sworn
  6. Skyrider Sword
Best Artifacts
  1. Viridescent Venerer
  2. Emblem of Severed Fate
Main Stats
  • Sand Stats: Energy Recharge / ATK %
  • Goblet Stats: Anemo % / ATK %
  • Circlet Stats: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substat Priority
  1. Energy Recharge (until requirement)
  2. CRIT Rate (With Favonius)
  3. CRIT DMG
  4. ATK %
  5. Elemental Mastery
Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Burst
  2. Elemental Skill
  3. Normal Attack

For this Lynette Off-Field DPS build we highly recommand you go for Favonius Sword because of Lynette's high Energy Requirements! Any other weapon with Energy Recharge as the main stat is a viable option. However, using anything else will make it hard to hit her requirements.

For this Lynette Off-Field DPS build the artifact choice is rather flexible. For general use, Viridescent Venerer is still one of the best options. However, if you have another Anemo character in the team that already wears this set, you can focus on a set that will provide more personal damage to Lynette. In this case, Emblem of Severed Fate is the best option with the high energy recharge it provides and the Burst DMG increases.

This Lynette build will require you to get at least 200% Energy Recharge in order to use her Burst every rotation. If you play her as the solo Anemo and without Favonius Sword, aim for 240%. Playing Lynette with other Anemo units, you can lower the requirements to 160%.

3.2.

Off-Field Reaction Support

This second build for Lynette will focus on her reaction damage. The goal will be to boost her own swirl damage, and provide elemental buffs to the rest of your team!

BiS Weapon Freedom-Sworn
Alternative Weapons
  1. Xiphos' Moonlight
  2. Iron Sting
  3. Toukabou Shigure
  4. Favonius Sword
  5. Fleuve Cendre Ferryman
  6. Sapwood Blade
Best Artifacts
  1. Viridescent Venerer
Main Stats
  • Sand Stats: Elemental Mastery / Energy Recharge
  • Goblet Stats: Elemental Mastery
  • Circlet Stats: Elemental Mastery
Substat Priority
  1. Energy Recharge (until requirement)
  2. Elemental Mastery
  3. CRIT Rate (if Favonius)
Talent Priority
  1. Elemental Burst
  2. Elemental Skill
  3. Normal Attack

For a reaction support build, Lynette's best-in-slot weapon is Freedom-Sworn. It provides more Elemental Mastery and provides teammates with increased ATK. Iron Sting is a good craftable option if you already meet her Energy requirements.

Viridescent Venerer is the best-in-slot set for a reaction support build for Lynette. It increases her Swirl damage and provides RES Shred to her team.

The Energy requirements remain similar to her previous build. As the sole Anemo unit, aim for +200% Energy Recharge. If you play her as the solo Anemo and without Favonius Sword, aim for 240%. Of course if you play Lynette with other Anemo units, you can lower the requirements to 160%.

3.3.

On-Field DPS (Requires C6)

This On-Field Lynette build requires you to have her C6. Lynette's C6 grants her an Anemo infusion and a 20% Anemo DMG bonus, which allows her to perform as an On-field DPS.

BiS Weapon Primordial Jade Cutter
Alternative Weapons
  1. Mistsplitter Reforged
  2. Splendor of Tranquil Waters
  3. Haran Geppaku Futsu
  4. Light of Foliar Incision
  5. Uraku Misugiri
  6. Absolution
  7. The Black Sword
  8. Wolf-Fang
Best Artifacts
  1. Viridescent Venerer
  2. Marechaussee Hunter
Main Stats
  • Sand Stats: ATK %
  • Goblet Stats: Anemo DMG / ATK %
  • Circlet Stats: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substat Priority
  1. Energy Recharge (until requirement)
  2. CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
  3. ATK %
  4. Elemental Mastery
Talent Priority
  1. Normal Attack
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Elemental Skill

If you built Lynette as an on-field DPS, you want to focus on a more CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG oriented weapon. Primordial Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter Reforged are some of the best options.

For an on-field Lynette build you can still use Viridescent Venerer as she will still take advantage of it. However, Marechaussee Hunter is another great option in this specific case. Lynette also has an HP draining mechanic, so she can make use of the passive and the CRIT DMG bonus.

On-field Lynette's build has a bit less energy requirements than the other builds, you can aim around 150% only. SInce you have her C6 for this build, you have access to the second charge of her skill provided by her C4, which allows for more energy particle production.

4.

Lynette Combos and How to Play

As an off-field DPS or support, Lynette's playstyle revolves mostly around her Elemental Burst, Magic Trick: Astonishing Shift. This skill offers a decent amount of AoE Anemo DMG as well as a taunting ability to keep nearby opponents off of your team. Note that this does not replace shielders or healers. However, it also absorbs and spreads elements. Thank to her passive, the more elements you have in your team, the higher the ATK buff for the whole party.

As on off-field DPS or support, you will typically swap Lynette in to use her Skill and then her Burst, before swapping back to your Main DPS.

If Lynette has her C6, it adds Anemo into her Normal Attacks, which allows her to be played on-field. You will then use your supports first, before swapping to Lynette to use her skill, burst, and spam her normal attack.

5.

Lynette's Best Team Comps

While there are multiple better choices for Anemo support, Lynette can work in a variety of teams, even just as a Viridescent Venerer wearer.

5.1.

Lynette Anemo Support Team

Sub DPS / Support Main DPS Flex Flex
Lynette Raiden Shogun Yae Miko Kujou Sara
Lynette Raiden Shogun Bennett Fischl
Lynette Xiao Bennett Faruzan
Lynette Arlecchino Bennett Citlali
Lynette Neuvillette Mavuika Furina

While we can't list all the possible teams, as mentioned before, Lynette can basically fit into any team that requires a Viridescent Venerer holder. The elemental RES is always a massive bonus for any type of DPS. Her passive also allows her to provide an ATK bonus, while she deals off-field DMG and taunts enemies.

5.2.

Lynette DPS Teams

Main DPS Sub DPS Support Support
Lynette Ganyu Xiangling Sangonomiya Kokomi
Lynette Furina Faruzan Xianyun

As an on-field DMG dealer, remember that Lynette needs to have her C6. Thanks to Xianyun, you can play Lynette as a plunge DPS. Furina provides off-field DPS and buffs, and Faruzan can further buff Lynette as well, and wear Viridescent Venerer instead of Lynette.

Another good way to play Lynette as a Main DPS is to fully make use of her A1 passive, which requires multiple elements in your team. Ganyu and Xiangling can be used as Sub-DPS in this situation, providing two elements. The last slot is rather flexible, but support like Sangonomiya Kokomi are a good option as she provides some healing and another element. Lynette has then 3 elements she can swirl, dealing massive AoE elemental damage.

We don't recommend using Bennett with Lynette as a Main DPS, as his pyro infusion will override Lynette's C6 Anemo infusion.

5.3.

Lynette Hyperbloom Team

Lynette Electro Dendro Hydro
Lynette Fischl Nahida Xingqiu
Lynette Beidou Nahida Yelan
Lynette Yae Miko Yaoyao Xingqiu
Lynette Fischl Nahida Xingqiu
Lynette Raiden Shogun Baizhu Xingqiu

Lynette is also very good as an on-field Hyperbloom enabler. Thanks to her C6 infusing her normal attacks with Anemo, she can easily swirl the elements and trigger Hyperbloom reactions.
