Venti Guide & Best Builds
Welcome to our Venti build guide for Genshin Impact. Venti is a 5-Star Anemo Character who is also considered a Hexerei character and can be played as an off-field DPS or Main DPS (thanks to the Hexerei buffs). In our guide, we will cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Venti, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.
Different Venti Build Options
Venti has multiple options for how you can build him, including reaction focused teams where he functions as on off-field DPS, and Hexerei DPS where he can be used as the Main DPS. The type of team used can drastically effect his best builds. Keep in mind that Reaction Venti is much easier to build than DPS Venti.
Listed below are Venti's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what is best to build on your Venti can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Venti.

Venti's Stat Priority
For this Venti Build you want as much Elemental Mastery as possible, and enough Energy Recharge in order to Burst every Rotation. CRIt Rate is useful if you use certain specifically weapons such as Favonius Warbow.
Recommended Stats for Venti
Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Venti's best weapon. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.
Reaction Venti wants as much Elemental Mastery as possible. If he is the only Anemo character in your team, you will also require a ton of Energy Recharge. You need to be able to Burst every rotation so your Main DPS can take advantage of it. This means that you do need over 160% ER at least. If you play Venti with one or two additional Anemo characters, you can focus a bit less on ER. Once you meet the ER requirements, you can focus on EM as much as you can.
Venti's Talent Priority
Venti's Burst is the most important thing to level up first for a Reaction Venti. After that, you can focus on his skill. His Normal Attack is mostly optional for this build.
Hexerei Main DPS Venti is pretty much straightforward. As any other main DPS he wants a good amount of CRIT and ATK, but do not underestimate ER, since you still want him to be able to Burst every Rotation. The only difference is that for this build, Venti is the one who is going to take advantage of his own Burst.

Venti's Talent Priority
Venti's Normal Attack and Burst are the most important skills for a Main DPS Venti since he will be the one doing the most DMG, and for that, he needs those two skills leveled up as high as possible.
How to Play Venti
Whether you Build Venti as a Reaction DPS or Anemo DPS, the gameplay mostly remains the same. he is really not a hard character to play, he does not have any complicated rotation or anything like that.
Venti's Elemental Skill Skyward Sonnet has two modes, a tap one and a hold:
- Tap the skill to launch a single tunnel of wind that will lift small enemies into the air and grant you 3 particles of energy.
- Holding the skill however, will create a large wind current, deal more damage, and produces 4 particles of energy.
In most cases, you will use the Hold version only outside of combat during exploration, in order to make use of the Wind Current to launch yourself in the air. During a fight, using tap only will be faster and more efficient, and still crowd control enemies.
Venti's Elemental Burst skill Wind's Grand Ode is his most important ability, whether you build him as a Reaction DPS or Anemo DPS. This skill creates a massive vortex that will suck in all surrounding enemies and control them in the air. It also absorbs and swirls any element which will deal even more damage to the enemies trapped within. This is one of the main reason Venti will shine more if you build him as a Reaction DPS with high Elemental Mastery.
This Burst offers 20 ticks of Anemo damage and 16 ticks if you absorb another element, with a Swirl effect occurring 7 times regardless of which element is absorbed. This can create some powerful elemental reactions when combined with the right teammates. However, this burst can also lift some enemies out of reach for certain melee fighters and skills, so use it wisely.
Venti's Combo
Venti will use both of his abilities when you bring him out onto the field, leading with his Elemental Skill first and then his Elemental Burst. This combo is the most common combination for Venti due to the fact that you can cut the animation time of his Skill by combining the two abilities. Afterwards, you simply switch back to another support to stack a different Element to create reactions or move to a DPS character to fight.
If played as a Main DPS, you will first use all your supports, such as Nicole and Durin's Skills and Bursts, before swapping back to Venti in order to use his Skill, Burst, and then you can spam Venti's Normal Attack to kill what is left. Once the Vortex is gone, swap back to your supports and start over.
Venti's Best Constellations
If you use Venti as a Reaction DPS, he works perfectly fine at C0. His C1 is not really useful for this build, but his C2 can be pretty good if you want to invest in your Venti, since it provides with additional Anemo RES Shred. His C4 is useful if you play Venti with a main Anemo character since thee active character will get an Anemo DMG bonus. His C6 is really good because if does provide additional RES Shred of different elements, depending on what reaction occurs.
As a main DPS, Venti's constellations become much more interesting since he benefits heavily from all the Anemo RES Shred they provide, and his C6 also grants a nice 100% CRIT DMG bonus when Venti deal DMG to enemies who took DMG from Wind's Grand Ode. However, if you need to pick between his C1 and his new Weapon The Daybreak Chronicles, you definitely want to prioritise this weapon for a Main DPS Venti.
