In our Daffodill guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Daffodill, from building the best gear and weapons, to important skill priorities and combos.

Best Console Setups for Daffodill
Daffodill's Console bonus is a 10% Chaos DMG bonus for every Type III Module
Diabolos
2-piece: Epic (2): Chaos DMG +10%.
4-piece: Legendary (4): Ignores 12% of enemies' Chaos RES. Ignores 24% of enemies' Chaos RES for 20s after the wearer participates in Nova or Scorch reactions.
Diabolos is the best option for Daffodill, as it boosts her Chaos DMG and allows her to ignore a good amount of Chaos RES, especially if she is paired with a Incantation or Psyche character to trigger the doubled effect.
After gaining the set bonus with optimal placement, you can add 2 more Type III and 1 more Type II Module, allowing Daffodill to have a total of 50% Chaos damage bonus after the set effect. While a 2-piece of this set with maximum Type III Modules will allow you to gain a total of 70% bonus Chaos DMG, missing out on the damage resistance ignore is generally worse, especially in a team that can trigger Nova or Scorch Esper Cycles. An example setup for the 4-piece set bonus is displayed below.
Daffodill's Stat Priority
Daffodill is an Esper centered around building break and benefits from as much break Intensity as she can get.
Daffodill's Skill Priority
Daffodill's main source of breaking the enemies comes from her Skill and should be the first priority. After her Skill it is best to prioritize her Ultimate for her Phantom Step Parry Attack. Then the next priority is her Basic Attack followed by her Support Skill.
Daffodill's Awakening Priority
If you have one or multiple copies of a character, you will be able to select Awakenings of your choosing. The following is a recommendation for Daffodill's Awakening unlock order. Remember that you can switch them at any time to try out different ones, or tailor your choices for a specific fight or situation.
| Awakening Unlock Order | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Perfect Truth A5: Perfect Truth | The First Awakening recommended is her A5, causing additional instances of Break DMG for each stack of Insight greatly increasing her damage potential. With her A3, this can lead to some crazy burst opportunities on enemies that live long enough to get broken multiple times. |
| Assembly of Creations A3: Assembly of Creations | Her A3 should be her next priority, as it allows the Insight she generates with her Ultimate to stay on enemies, instead of being removed. This will result in a lot more Break DMG throughout the fight. With her A5, this can lead to some crazy burst opportunities on enemies that live long enough to get broken multiple times. |
| In Concealment A4: In Concealment | Her third recommendation for her Awakenings is her A4. It increases her Break DMG for each stack of Insight, which pairs very nicely with her A3. |
| Mechanical March A2: Mechanical March | Her fourth recommended Awakening unlock is her A2. It increases her damage and removes the need for Phantom Step to successfully Parry to charge her Ultimate. This is a good quality of life improvement if you're not that good with parrying. |
| Eye A1: Eye | The next recommended Awakening For Daffodill, which greatly increases her Skill's damage and break per Support Skill cast. |
| Bloom in the Lake A6: Bloom in the Lake | Bloom in the Lake is her sixth recommended Awakening. It allows her to ignore some of the enemy's Defense. This greatly helps her damage potential, and depending on the situation, might be preferable over other Awakening if you plan on playing Daffodill as more of a main DPS. however this is listed lower as it doesn't directly help her Break potential. |
How to Play Daffodill
Daffodill is a burst focused Break Esper, using her Skill and Ultimate to help break enemies to create a stun window, which then sets up other characters to do the brunt of the damage.
Once the game has launched, and we had an opportunity to play around with all the characters, we will be updating this section with more specific rotational advice and how to set up specific combos for Esper Cycles or burst windows!
