General Information

Welcome to our Addons & Macros guide for Rogues where you will find out what the best addons and macros are for your Rogue in WoW Classic.

1. Foreword

For our macros section, we will be providing macros that will help improve some aspects of your gameplay in WoW Classic. You can simply copy and paste the macro that we provide, however some have interchangeable parts that you can customize to your own specifications.

2. Macros for Rogues

2.1. Riposte Macro

  • /cast Riposte
  • /cast Sinister Strike

This macro will simply cast Riposte Icon Riposte if it is available, if it is not then it will cast Sinister Strike Icon Sinister Strike instead. This way you will not have to actively check if you can use Riposte or not making the rotation a bit easier.

2.2. Mouseover Blind Macro

  • #showtooltip
  • /cast [@mouseover] [ ] Blind

This macro allows you to use Blind Icon Blind on the target that your mouse is hovered over. This is very useful to quickly CC someone without having to actually click on them. This macro is useful for PvP but also may have some uses in PvE.

2.3. Cancel Blessing of Protection Macro

  • #showtooltip
  • /cast Hemorrhage
  • /stopmacro [help] [noexists]
  • /cancelaura Blessing of Protection

Blessing of Protection Icon Blessing of Protection is a Paladin ability that protects you from physical attacks but also prevents you from using abilities or attacking while you have it active on yourself. This macro will allow you to cancel Blessing of Protection on yourself to start using abilities whenever you want to.

3. Recommended Addons

Your interface can help make playing the game easier, allowing you to customize the positioning of different things. You can also use Addons to track more specific things, such as swing timers and Energy regeneration, allowing you to plan your abilities and cooldowns easier. Your UI is specific to you and your own preferences, but this section will give recommendations on Addons that will enhance your playing experience.

3.1. TukUI

TukUI is a complete replacement of the default interface. It is highly customizable and provides many useful features that the default interface does not. If you are looking to get up and running quickly and do not want to mess around with trying to build your own interface out of many different Addons, TukUI is highly recommended.

3.2. Questie Classic

Questie Classic marks quests and quest objectives for the quests you are currently doing on your world map and minimap. This addon will help speed up your leveling a lot, but it was not available in the original WoW Classic, so if you want a true WoW Classic experience, then you can avoid using this addon.

3.3. WeakAuras

There is a Weak Auras version under development for WoW Classic. While it is still uncertain what functionalities it will have, we will keep track of the project and update as required.

3.4. MapCoords Classic

MapCoords Classic places coordinates on your world map and minimap, which allow you to communicate and understand exact locations on WoW Classic easily. This is very helpful, since the map did not outline where things were in Classic accurately, such as not showing where quest monsters were.

3.5. Boss Mods: Deadly Boss Mods

Boss mods are Addons that warn you about boss abilities and give you live advice on how to handle some mechanics. Deadly Boss Mods has already released a WoW Classic version.

3.6. Threat Meter

While a threat meter is certainly indispensable in WoW Classic, this is very important as a Rogue, since you can experience threat issues during your burst phase. We will update this page once there is a stable working one for the Beta.

3.7. Recount

You can find a working version of Recount here, back in all of its old school glory for WoW Classic.

4. Changelog
