On this page, you will find out the optimal PvE stat priority for your DPS Combat Rogue in WoW Classic - Season of Discovery. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations.

1.

Stat Priority for Combat DPS Rogue

Stats for your Rogue at this point in time are almost identical across all three DPS specializations.

  1. Agility
  2. Attack Power
  3. Crit Chance
  4. Strength
  5. Hit Rating (to 6%)
  6. Stamina

Stats Further Explained

2.1.

Agility

Agility is the strongest primary stat for Rogues as it increases not only their Attack Power but also increases their Critical strike chance. Agility being a primary stat will be plentiful on gear and you will not often have to choose between it and other stats. Each point of Agility you have increases your Attack Power by 1.

2.2.

Attack Power

Increases the amount of damage dealt by your auto-attacks and abilities, by default you will often find Attack Power paired with other stats on gear so you will not often have to choose it over another stat like Agility or Strength.

2.3.

Critical Strike

Critical Strike rating increases the chance that you will hit with a Critical Strike (100% of damage) this is incredibly powerful for Rogue as you will be attacking constantly and quickly which makes this stat even more valuable.

2.4.

Strength

Strength grants Attack power at the same conversion rate as Agility but does not grant Critical Strike rating making it worse than Agility.

2.5.

Hit Rating

Hit Rating increases your chance of hitting the target, abilities and attacks that miss deal 0 damage making Hit Rating quite important. In order to guarantee your chance to hit a boss inside of the Sunken Temple raid instance you would need 6% Hit Rating as a Combat Rogue you will be able to get 5% of your needed hit chance from Precision Icon Precision so you will only need to find 1% hit rating from gear making this a lower priority as it is quite likely you will find the 1% needed in your leveling and dungeon farming.

2.6.

Stamina

Each point of Stamina increases your health by 10. While not necessarily a DPS increase it is incredibly necessary as there are quite a few sources of unavoidable damage you will encounter and having more health will make these less impactful both for you and anyone else you may be in a party with.
