The Great Vault in Dragonflight provides players with a single piece of loot from up to 9 choices every week.

1.

Introduction

The Great Vault is a weekly chest that provides you with 1 piece of loot every week from up to 9 choices.

It becomes available after the weekly maintenance in your region — on Tuesday in North America or Wednesday in Europe.

You can add more items to the weekly chest by completing various raid, dungeon, and PvP objectives, but you can only select 1 item per week.

Great Vault Location in Dragonflight

The Great Vault can be found in Valdrakken's Bank room (55, 57). The precise location will be highlighted with an icon on the map.

This is what the Great Vault looks like:

Great Vault Requirements in Dragonflight

The weekly chest contains 9 slots. The more slots you unlock the more choice you have when selecting your weekly reward.

The weekly chest is divided into three separate categories — Raids, Dungeons, and PvP.

Here is a screenshot with the current Great Vault requirements:

Great Vault Requirements in the Raids Category

The item level of rewards in this category is based on raid difficulty. To unlock all three item choices, you must:

Killing a later raid boss will give you a chance at all of the previous bosses' loot. For example, if you are invited to a kill on Fyrakk, you will be 1/9 towards vault progress for that week. However, you now have the loot from the entire raid in your vault pool for the raids slots.

5.

Great Vault Requirements in the Dungeons Category

Complete a Heroic or Mythic max-level dungeon to unlock a Great Vault reward in this category. Timewalking Dungeons count as Heroic. The item level of your reward will be based on your highest run this week.

To unlock all three item choices, you must:

  • Complete 1 Heroic, Mythic, or Timewalking Dungeon.
  • Complete 4 Heroic, Mythic, or Timewalking Dungeons.
  • Complete 8 Heroic, Mythic, or Timewalking Dungeons.
