Velina Guide & Best Builds
Welcome to our Velina build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Velina is a powerful S-Rank Wind Anomaly DPS Agent. Velina is the first Wind Agent and introduces some new Attribute Anomaly effects. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Velina, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.
Velina's Best W-Engines
Listed below are some W-Engines likely to be useful for Velina. As Velina is not yet released, information regarding her kit is subject to change, and W-Engine recommendations are not final. It is not recommended to farm or build W-Engines solely based on information before Velina's release. Recommendations below are only speculative.
Velina's Signature W-Engine
Event A-Rank W-Engine
Flamemaker Shaker
While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.6/0.75/0.9/1.05/1.2/s. When hitting an enemy with an EX Special Attack or Assist Attack, the equipper's DMG increases by 3.5/4.4/5.2/6.1/7%, stacking up to 10 times and lasting for 6s. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. While off-field, the stack effect is doubled. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Upon obtaining the DMG increase effect, if the number of current stacks is greater than or equal to 5, then the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency increases by 50/62/75/87/100. This Anomaly Proficiency increase does not stack and lasts for 6s.
Rainforest Gourmet
For every 10 Energy consumed, the equipper gains a buff that increases ATK by 2.5/2.8/3.2/3.6/4% for 10s, stacking up to 10 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Weeping Gemini
Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30/34/38/42/48, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Other usable S-Rank W-Engines include:
- Fusion Compiler
- Timeweaver
- Angel in the Shell
- Practiced Perfection
- Flight of Fancy
Best Drive Discs for Velina
As Velina is not yet released, information regarding her kit is subject to change, and Drive Disc recommendations are not final. It is not recommended to farm or build Drive Discs solely based on information before Velina's release. Recommendations below are only speculative.
Howlin' Salon
4-Piece Set: When the equipper activates an EX Special Attack, their Anomaly Proficiency increases by 25, stacking up to 2 times for 40s; repeated triggers reset the duration. After the equipper triggers a Windswept effect, their DMG dealt increases by 18% for 40s; repeated triggers reset the duration.
Howlin' Salon is an upcoming Drive Disc Set in version 3.0. It is designed for Wind Anomaly Agents, increasing Wind DMG and DMG dealt after triggering the Windswept state. Additionally, after using an Ex-Special, Anomaly Proficiency is increased by 25, stacking up to 2 times.
This Drive Disc set should be Velina's best option for her personal DMG, and the main option for her to use as a Wind Anomaly Agent. A 2-Piece Energy Regen Disc such as Moonlight Lullaby or Swing Jazz can be used to maximize her Core Skill Energy Regen conversion bonus.
Astral Voice
4-Piece Set: Whenever any squad member enters the field using a Quick Assist, all squad members gain 1 stack of Astral, up to a maximum of 3 stacks, and lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Each stack of Astral increases the DMG dealt by the character entering the field using a Quick Assist by 8%. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
Aside from Howlin' Salon that increases Velina's personal DMG, there really is no suitable 4pc Drive Disc set that buffs the team's DMG. Astral Voice can be considered for such a role; however, Velina cannot reliably stack this effect as she can only trigger a Quick Assist through her Ultimate or Kazahana points EX Special.
Velina's Stat Priority
As an Anomaly Agent, Velina focuses on building Anomaly Proficiency and Attack to maximize her Vortex and Attribute Anomaly DMG. Anomaly Proficiency is her most important stat, followed closely by ATK %.
An Energy Regen 6th partition should be used over what would typically be an Anomaly Mastery Disc, as Velina's Core Skill converts Energy Regen into DMG and Anomaly Mastery.
Velina's Skill Priority
Velina's Core Skill is her most important skill to level, as her Energy Regen conversion, Attribute Anomaly, or Abloom DMG will likely scale with Core Skill level. Other skills are not necessary to level as they do not increase Anomaly Build-up or her personal DMG.
