Velina Best Team Compositions and Character Synergies
Velina's Best Teams, Bangboo & Character Synergies
Welcome to our Velina team composition guide for Zenless Zone Zero. In this guide, we'll explore the best teams to build for Velina, including recommended Agents, character synergies, and Bangboo to help Velina reach her full damage potential.
Best Pairings and Synergies With Velina
Velina is currently the only Wind Agent in the game, and her team compositions as an Anomaly Agent are mostly dictated by other Agents' compatibility with the Wind Attribute Anomaly. Velina and the Wind Attribute serve to increase Agents' Attribute Anomaly DMG while replacing Disorders with Vortex, making Velina great with Anomaly Agents who deal large DMG through their Attribute Anomaly effect and rely less on Disorders.
Velina also has the ability to deal large amounts of Daze in combat, adding to her value as a support. Velina in most teams serves as a Sub-DPS Anomaly Agent and Pseudo-Stunner, mixing in similar roles to Vivian or Nangong Yu.
Velina has decent synergy with Promeia. Promeia can benefit from the increased damage during the Wind Attribute Anomaly's Windswept state, and Promeia's teams can benefit from the extra Daze Velina provides. Velina can also make use of Promeia's Abloom damage increase, allowing Velina to deal more damage through her Ablooms.
While both Velina and Promeia have very strong synergy, these team comps are not necessarily much better than teams with Nangong Yu or Vivian, and the best option for Promeia will likely depend more on enemy weakness.
Anomaly Agents who can deal a lot of damage through their own Attribute Anomaly can benefit from the Wind Attribute Anomaly's effects.
- Jane Doe is an example of a character who can benefit from the Wind Attribute Anomaly. Jane's Core Skill allows her Attribute Anomaly to deal increased DMG; this can be further enhanced with Velina and the Wind Attribute. The Windswept state having a long duration also allows for greater on-field time.
- While not strictly always better than Nangong Yu, Aria can work very well with Velina and the Wind Attribute. Velina can act as a pseudo-stunner and Sub-DPS, while allowing Aria to deal increased Abloom DMG.
Off-field Anomaly Agents can work with Velina, and in such teams, Velina can also be played on-field, where Vivian or Burnice White can deal increased DMG through their Ablooms and Attribute Anomaly effects. These teams can make for some surprisingly strong team comps.
Both Hoshimi Miyabi and Tsukishiro Yanagi do not have the best synergy with Velina and the Wind Attribute Anomaly. Hoshimi Miyabi misses out on Disorders, which causes her to miss out on her resources. Tsukishiro Yanagi can still trigger Polarity Disorders with the Wind Anomaly Windswept state; however, the DMG becomes slightly lower.
While these Agents might not have the best synergy, Velina with Miyabi or Yanagi can still provide decent and strong results, especially against Wind weak enemies.
As a last slot in most teams, a Support Agent such as Ukinami Yuzuha would be a great addition in most teams. Other Support Agents such as Sunna or Astra Yao can also work. Nangong Yu can also be used instead of a Support; however, some on-field time will be required to allow Nangong Yu to stun enemies.
Bangboo in Velina's Teams
As Velina serves as a support for most Squads, the
best Bangboo to use might depend on your Main DPS Agent. However, there are
some decent options to use regardless, such as
Ultra Jake, which works
well with Velina by providing extra Energy to Squad Members. Other general
options include
Booltergeist or
Knightboo, both of which can provide
small DMG increases.
Velina's Best Teams
Listed below are a range of team compositions we recommend you use with Velina. Her best teams, however, can depend both on what boss you are against as well as any buffs present. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect their overall power.
As a general note, Velina provides Quick Assists to the previous Agent, meaning that Velina would ideally be placed in the next slot to your Main DPS as demonstrated below.
