1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Amirdrassil. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope guides.

On this page, you will find information and guidance for each boss individually in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope as a Arcane Mage. These are not complete encounter guides but provide specific tips for any Arcane Mage on each boss.

1.1.

Talent Builds By Boss

2.

Dragonflight Raid Talent Builds for Arcane Mage

Single Target With Cleave Single Target Sustained AoE
3.

Single Target With Cleave

This build has good single-target while still having pretty good AoE/cleave. This is our general build used for most fights.

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

4.

Single Target

A pure single-target build, focused entirely on maximizing single-target DPS.

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

5.

Sustained AoE

This build focuses more on sustained AoE DPS at the cost of single-target damage.

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

6.

Gnarlroot

6.1.

Talents/Build

The boss has two distinct phases, one that is add control and the other that is all about bursting the boss. For the highest overall DPS, the AoE build is the best, but we generally suggest going the single-target with cleave talents here for a good mix.

6.2.

Tips

Make sure you line yourself up properly so that Arcane Orb Icon Arcane Orb hits as many targets as possible.

Ensure you have all your cooldowns ready before the boss reaches 100 energy. This means you can do one big burn at the start of the fight, and then use one small burn (so without Evocation Icon Evocation and Arcane Surge Icon Arcane Surge) as it becomes available.

Pop Mirror Image Icon Mirror Image and Prismatic Barrier Icon Prismatic Barrier slightly before the second phase so you do not waste the GCDs during the burn phase itself. Use Evocation Icon Evocation when about half of the roots are burned during the intermission, and then when almost all the roots are burned, apply Radiant Spark Icon Radiant Spark on the boss and begin your burn phase. The burn lasts 20 seconds, so you should begin your burn slightly before the phase starts to ensure you get the entire rest of the burn in it.

For more information, please refer to our Gnarlroot guide.

7.

Igira the Cruel

7.1.

Talents/Build

Run the single target build.

You can swap Shimmer Icon Shimmer for Ice Floes Icon Ice Floes here to have the stun removal from Blink Icon Blink. This has relatively limited use, but if you do not have any meaningful preference between Shimmer and Ice Floes, Ice Floes would be the way to go here.

7.2.

Tips

Ensure you position yourself so Arcane Orb Icon Arcane Orb hits as many spears as possible.

Try and have a minor defensive up, such as Prismatic Barrier Icon Prismatic Barrier for Blistering Spear Icon Blistering Spear.

You can Blink Icon Blink the stun left from soaking Umbral Destruction Icon Umbral Destruction.

For more information, please refer to our Igira guide.

8.

Volcoross

8.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

You can swap between Shimmer Icon Shimmer and Ice Floes Icon Ice Floes based on preference. Shimmer allows you to quickly reposition after certain mechanics, but Ice Floes makes dodging the smaller, more frequent mechanics easier without losing DPS.

8.2.

Tips

Knockback direction from Flood of the Firelands Icon Flood of the Firelands is based on position versus center of soak circle. Aim yourself accordingly, and pop a defensive of some nature. You can use Shimmer Icon Shimmer mid-air to immediately position yourself and not have to wait to finish flying through the air, or if you went with Ice Floes Icon Ice Floes make sure to pop it before the knockback happens so you can continue casting during it.

This is pretty much a pure DPS fight where the goal is to do as much damage as possible.

For more information, please refer to our Volcoross guide.

9.

Council of Dreams

9.1.

Talents/Build

The bosses are too far apart for us to really benefit from running the AoE build, so run the single-target build.

9.2.

Tips

If you are targeted by the Javelin, activate Alter Time Icon Alter Time before you get the damage over time effect and re-activate it when you are low.

Ensure you use a defensive if soaking Barreling Charge Icon Barreling Charge. Ice Block Icon Ice Block with Ice Cold Icon Ice Cold is very strong for this, but Greater Invisibility Icon Greater Invisibility works well as well.

For more information, please refer to our Council of Dreams guide.

10.

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame

10.1.

Talents/Build

Single-target build.

10.2.

Tips

Blazing Coalescence Icon Blazing Coalescence is a very strong buff for us, so you should try to soak as many as you can afford without risk of dying.

Make sure to have a defensive cooldown active for Raging Inferno Icon Raging Inferno. You can use Mass Barrier Icon Mass Barrier as well for additional defensiveness for the group.

For more information, please refer to our Larodar guide.

11.

Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

11.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

11.2.

Tips

Use a defensive like Prismatic Barrier Icon Prismatic Barrier when soaking Surging Growth Icon Surging Growth or crossing the Verdant Matrix Icon Verdant Matrix. You can Shimmer Icon Shimmer across any line of the Verdant Matrix without taking any damage.

Likewise, you can Shimmer Icon Shimmer over Impending Loom Icon Impending Loom beams.

For more information, please refer to our Nymue guide.

12.

Smolderon

12.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

12.2.

Tips

You can use Ice Block Icon Ice Block combined with Ice Cold Icon Ice Cold and Cryo-Freeze Icon Cryo-Freeze to remove the healing absorb from Cauterizing Wound Icon Cauterizing Wound.

Intermission gives you a 100% damage buff if you soak all five of your orbs and starts just over 1 minute into the fight. This means you can use a mini-burn at the start of the fight, but save your big burn for this burn phase. As the knockback of World in Flames Icon World in Flames happens, begin channel Evocation Icon Evocation. During the Evocation channel, you should be able to pick up the 5 orbs and start your burn phase.

For more information, please refer to our Smolderon guide.

13.

Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame

13.1.

Talents/Build

Single-target/cleave build.

You can swap Conjure Mana Gem Icon Conjure Mana Gem to Orb Barrage Icon Orb Barrage for more AoE damage, at the cost of a tiny bit of single-target DPS. We generally recommend this, but based on your group's needs, swap between them.

You can opt to swap out Shimmer Icon Shimmer for Ice Floes Icon Ice Floes so you have an additional way to break Mass Entanglement Icon Mass Entanglement via Blink Icon Blink if you feel you need this.

13.2.

Tips

You can use Prismatic Barrier Icon Prismatic Barrier combined with Energized Barriers Icon Energized Barriers to get rid of Mass Entanglement Icon Mass Entanglement.

Make sure to have your big burn available for the intermission phases. This will mean that you end up sitting on Evocation Icon Evocation and Arcane Surge Icon Arcane Surge a bit, but between the damage buff from Dream Essence Icon Dream Essence and the DPS race to break Supernova Icon Supernova, it is worth the uptime loss. Make sure you immediately begin casting Evocation Icon Evocation as you land on the intermission platform, and then start moving to the boss, as you have no preparation time at all before Supernova starts casting.

For more information, please refer to our Tindral guide.

14.

Fyrakk the Blazing

14.1.

Talents/Build

Single-target/cleave build.

14.2.

Tips

14.2.1.

Phase 1

If you are targeted by Firestorm Icon Firestorm, you can activate Alter Time Icon Alter Time before running out to drop off the meteor, and then Alter Time back into proper position. On heroic, the same can be done for Blaze Icon Blaze. (which is active in all phases)

14.2.2.

Phase 2

Ensure you line yourself up properly so that Arcane Orb Icon Arcane Orb hits as many adds as possible. Make sure you have 4 Arcane Charges ready before they spawn so you can quickly Arcane Barrage Icon Arcane Barrage -> Arcane Orb Icon Arcane Orb -> Arcane Barrage Icon Arcane Barrage them. Generally, your cooldowns will automatically line up correctly so that your Touch of the Magi Icon Touch of the Magi explodes on the adds, however you might have to delay by a few seconds to ensure it does properly. Otherwise, this phase is pretty much just a "dodge the fire" phase.

14.2.3.

Phase 3

This phase is very much a "dodge the fire" phase. We do not have specific Arcane tips for this phase at this current point in time..

For more information, please refer to our Fyrakk guide.
