Mona is a pure buffer who provides immense damage bonuses to the team, with her constellations unlocking even further utility. Following the introduction of the Hexerei effect, her overall value has increased significantly, especially since her Elemental Burst duration can now be extended, allowing for much more flexible DPS rotations.
Best Pairings and Synergies With Mona
As a Hexerei member, Mona's best teammates are often other Hexerei units. Pairing Mona with another Hexerei support to buff a main DPS is an incredibly strong core. You can pair her with Sucrose in a Mualani or Mavuika team where you need both EM and Elemental DMG buffs. You can also run a duo of Mona and Albedo in a Geo team (like Navia's). Alternatively, playing her alongside Durin and Nicole allows Mona to step up and act as an on-field reaction driver.
Mona can be played alongside Hexerei Main DPS characters to great effect. She works perfectly with Venti to buff his abilities using her Burst, Stellaris Phantasm; this is a very strong combo as the extended Omen duration synergizes perfectly with Venti's Burst. She also shines with Lohen in Freeze teams alongside Escoffier and Furina, acting as the Hexerei unit while maintaining a pure Hydro/Cryo composition. She is also a great fit for Varka Hydro teams.
Mona is an incredibly flexible support who fits into almost any team needing a massive DMG Bonus buff. Characters like Mavuika, Arlecchino, Skirk, Raiden Shogun, Eula, Mualani, and Navia all perform extremely well alongside her.
These units are mostly "upfront" DPS characters, meaning they deal the majority of their damage (or their massive nuke hits) early in their rotation, which synergizes perfectly with Mona's Omen buff window.
