Now that Blackwing Lair is available, players can finally obtain the Elementium Bar Icon Elementium Bars required to obtain Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker Icon Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker after having both halves of the Bindings of the Windseeker Icon Bindings of the Windseeker (Left). 1.

Requirements

Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker Icon Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker is obtained by completing a short questline which can only be started once you loot both halves of the Bindings of the Windseeker Icon Bindings of the Windseeker (Left), which rarely (sub 5% chance) drop off Garr (right binding) and Baron Geddon (left binding) in Molten Core.

Once you have one of the items, you can talk with Highlord Demetrian, who resides in Silithus (around 30, 10), and begin the quest line, which will require you to go to Blackwing Lair in order to release Prince Thunderaan himself near Demetrian. You will need a raid group to defeat Prince, with the reward being Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker Icon Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker!

2.

Thunderfury - Who needs it?

This makes it a main tank Warrior weapon first and foremost, but it can also be used by Rogues, Paladins and Hunters, although it is sub-optimal.
