This page goes into detail on the Leather Armor Crafting specialization of Dragonflight Leatherworking, and will guide you through the various aspects of the tree and profession.

1.

Best Leather Armor Crafting Talents in Dragonflight

The Leather Armor Crafting tree has two main branches, which focus on different slots of gear.

Shaped Leather Armor specializes in chests, helms, shoulders, and wrists, while Embroidered Leather Armor specializes on legs, gloves, belts, and boots.

2.

Best Leatherworking Talents for Shaped Gear

  1. 10 points into Leather Armor Crafting for pathing;
  2. 10 points into Shaped Leather Armor for pathing;
  3. 20 points into Chestpieces, Helms, Shoulderpads, or Wristwraps to increase your skill with that particular craft;
  4. Swap into the Leatherworking Discipline tree for more skill and inspiration with a particular craft or invest further into Shaped Leather Armor and Leather Armor Crafting to be able to unlock the other armor pieces.

If you want to be able to craft the highest Quality leather armor possible, you will want to invest fully into the gear slot nodes available in this tree. However, take note that while this grants high skill and unlocks the crafting and modifying of the baseline epic leather piece in the specialized slot, much of your potential skill will be coming from the Leatherworking Discipline as well.

3.

Best Leatherworking Talents for Embroidered Gear

  1. 10 points into Leather Armor Crafting for pathing;
  2. 10 points into Embroidered Leather Armor for pathing;
  3. 20 points into Legguards, Gloves, Belts, or Boots to increase your skill with that particular craft;
  4. Swap into the Leatherworking Discipline tree for more skill and inspiration with a particular craft or invest further into Embroidered Leather Armor and Leather Armor Crafting to be able to unlock the other armor pieces.

Similar logic applies with the other side of the tree: you want to invest deeply into the gear slot you want to craft and then finish off with Leatherworking Discipline talents in order to gain as much potential skill as possible on your crafts.
