1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Amirdrassil. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope guides.

On this page, you will find tips and tricks specifically tailored toward Assassination Rogues and its toolkit based on the recommended talent build. It does not include general tips for mechanics, which are included in the full raid guide instead, whereas this page assumes that you are already familiar with most of the major mechanics of each encounter.

4.

Single Target and Cleave

The build above is your general single target talent tree with strong cooldowns    and even better damage once the boss hits 35% HP.

5.

Sporadic Adds

This build simply switches Internal Bleeding Icon Internal Bleeding for Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter. Since Caustic Spatter spreads the damage of Kingsbane Icon Kingsbane, this gives us great cleave on a 1-minute cooldown, whenever we have a Kingsbane window. It is generally not advised to talent more AoE or cleave talents. This build will shine in encounters where adds are spawning on timers that work well with our cooldowns.

6.

Sustained AoE

This build is the same version as our M+ build, which sacrifices ~15% of its single-target DPS potential for the ability to deal with sustained AoE. You will rarely if ever use this, as our full AoE toolkit takes too long to ramp up and deal proper damage, while costing too much single-target DPS.

Gnarlroot

7.1.

Talents/Build

You will want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage on the adds.

7.1.1.

Tips

There are no rogue-specific tips or tricks for this boss.

For more information, please refer to our Gnarlroot guide.

8.

Igira the Cruel

8.1.

Talents/Build

You will want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage on the spears, if these are placed close enough to the boss.

8.1.1.

Tips

Use Feint Icon Feint or Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows to mitigate the initial damage from Blistering Spear Icon Blistering Spear.

For more information, please refer to our Igira guide.

9.

Volcoross

9.1.

Talents/Build

Pure single-target with Internal Bleeding Icon Internal Bleeding.

9.1.1.

Tips

The direction of the knockback effect Flood of the Firelands Icon Flood of the Firelands is based on your position towards the center of the soak circle. Positioning yourself accordingly allows you to control the knockback direction. You can also use Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep on another player to immediately cancel the knockback effect.

This is a fairly straightforward boss with no additional spec-specific tips.

For more information, please refer to our Volcoross guide.

10.

Council of Dreams

10.1.

Talents/Build

You will want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage whenever two of the bosses are tanked close to each other.

10.1.1.

Tips

There seems to be very little spec-specific interactions for this fight.

All bosses have to be killed at the same time, but melee will only be able to cleave 2 of them. Make sure to spread your DoTs, and set up your Kingsbane Icon Kingsbane window to hit both targets via Caustic Spatter.

Make sure to prepare for having to soak Barreling Charge Icon Barreling Charge. Feint Icon Feint works wonders here. You can keep attacking while the charge knocks you up, as long as you are close enough to another boss.

For more information, please refer to our Council of Dreams guide.

11.

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame

11.1.

Talents/Build

You will want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage on the treants and roots.

11.1.1.

Tips

Try to only soak when you have any of your cooldowns up, and leave the orbs that grant 20% crit for other players while you have no cooldowns available.

Make sure to have Feint Icon Feint ready for Raging Inferno Icon Raging Inferno. Even with the protection of the Seed, it still deals very high amounts of damage.

You can Blind Icon Blind one of the adds in the last Phase of the encounter, so it doesn't walk too close to the raid.

For more information, please refer to our Larodar guide.

12.

Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

12.1.

Talents/Build

This is a pure single-target encounter.

12.1.1.

Tips

Crossing the lines of the Verdant Matrix Icon Verdant Matrix can be done by using Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep on a friendly target on the other side.

You can also Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep over Impending Loom Icon Impending Loom beams; just make sure you do not land on a Verdant Matrix Icon Verdant Matrix line. There are two spots at the edge of the bosses hitbox, where you can walk up on the roots to dodge the beams without taking a Verdant Matrix dot.

For more information, please refer to our Nymue guide.

13.

Smolderon

13.1.

Talents/Build

Another pure single-target encounter.

13.1.1.

Tips

Remember that both Crimson Vial and Health Potions can help trigger the Cauterizing Wound Icon Cauterizing Wound debuff on demand, if the absorb shield is already low enough.

During the intermission, you gain a 100% damage increase after soaking all five orbs of Devour Essence Icon Devour Essence. You are best served holding your Deathmark Icon Deathmark on pull, and use it in the first and third intermission instead.

For more information, please refer to our Smolderon guide.

14.

Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame

14.1.

Talents/Build

You will want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage on the adds.

14.1.1.

Tips

Make sure to have your cooldowns available for the intermission phases. You may end up wasting a single use of Deathmark or Kingsbane, but the transition from one platform to another will grant you a damage buff via Dream Essence Icon Dream Essence, and our cooldowns will be very valuable in order to break the Supernova Icon Supernova absorb shield.

You can soak multiple seeds at once in Phase 2 and 3, if you use Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows. You CANNOT do this on Mythic difficulty.

For more information, please refer to our Tindral guide.

15.

Fyrakk the Blazing

15.1.

Talents/Build

You may want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage on the adds. If the P2 add-DPS is not a concern, go with Internal Bleeding Icon Internal Bleeding instead.

15.1.1.

Tips

You can have very high uptime, even during Dream Rend Icon Dream Rend, thanks to Feint Icon Feint and Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows.

You can use Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep or a Warlock Gateway to cancel the knockback effect as the boss starts the first intermission.

You can soak multiple orbs in the intermission with Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows.

Use Blind Icon Blind and Kidney Shot Icon Kidney Shot to disrupt the small adds in Phase 2. You can even talent into Airborne Irritant Icon Airborne Irritant for this to have an AoE interrupt.

For more information, please refer to our Fyrakk guide.
