1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Vault of the Incarnates. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Vault of the Incarnates guides.

On this page, you will find tips and tricks specifically tailored toward Assassination Rogues and its toolkit based on the recommended talent build. It does not include general tips for mechanics, which are included in the full raid guide instead, whereas this page assumes that you are already familiar with most of the major mechanics of each encounter.

Dragonflight Raid Talent Builds for Assassination Rogue

Pure Single Target Build Cleave Build Sustained AoE Build
4.

Single Target and Cleave

The build above is your general single target talent tree with strong cooldowns and even better damage once the boss hits 35% HP.

  • BMQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEJJhkEEAAAAAASJJSJJAAAAAAgWSCSgkkSaJREEJJJRSTLSAA

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

5.

Sporadic Adds

This build simply switches Internal Bleeding Icon Internal Bleeding for Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter. Since Caustic Spatter spreads the damage of Kingsbane Icon Kingsbane, this gives us great cleave on a 1-minute cooldown, whenever we have a Kingsbane window. It is generally not advised to talent more AoE or cleave talents. This build will shine in encounters where adds are spawning on timers that work well with our cooldowns.

  • BMQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEJJhkEAAAAAAg0SiUSCAAAAAA0aJJIBSSKpkERQkkkEJNlIBA

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

6.

Sustained AoE

This build is the same version as our M+ build, which sacrifices ~15% of its single-target DPS potential for the ability to deal with sustained AoE. You will rarely if ever use this, as our full AoE toolkit takes too long to ramp up and deal proper damage, while costing too much single-target DPS.

  • BMQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEJJJJSAAAAAAASLJSJJAAAAAAQrlkgEIJpkSSEkEJBJJalIBA

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

7.

Eranog

7.1.

Talents

You will want to play with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter on this boss. It is only about a 2% DPS loss on single-target, and will net you a lot of extra damage on the adds.

7.2.

Tips

You can use Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows to run through the fiery walls spawned by the Primal Flame.

Evasion Icon Evasion works to avoid getting hit by the fixating Primal Flame adds.

For more information, please refer to our Eranog guide.

8.

Terros

8.1.

Talents

Pure single-target with Internal Bleeding Icon Internal Bleeding.

8.2.

Tips

You should use Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows before the tank destroys multiple pillars, as it allows you to take no damage from the explosions and also avoid receiving the subsequent Seismic Assault Icon Seismic Assault debuff.

For more information, please refer to our Terros guide.

9.

The Primal Council

9.1.

Talents

Cleave with with Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter.

9.2.

Tips

As this fight is a permanent 4-target cleave fight, with bosses having to die within a few seconds of each other, you should prioritize reapplying your Garrote Icon Garrote on the three highest health targets.

Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows should be used to remove the Conductive Mark Icon Conductive Mark and Primal Blizzard Icon Primal Blizzard debuffs.

For more information, please refer to our The Primal Council guide.

10.

Sennarth, the Cold Breath

10.1.

Talents

If the adds are being tanked close enough for Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter to hit them, play the cleave build.

10.2.

Tips

You can use Vanish Icon Vanish to clear the stacks of Sticky Webbing Icon Sticky Webbing.

You can use Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep to get back onto the platform if you get knocked or dragged off of it. With 2 charges, this allows you to not care at all about the Sticky Webbing mechanic, and you can just full focus on DPSing the boss in all phases.

For more information, please refer to our Sennarth guide.

11.

Dathea, Ascended

11.1.

Talents

If you are assigned to the platforms to deal with the adds, switching to Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter build is recommended. However, you should try to convince your raid that your damage will be very low regardless, so it is better to stick with the single-target build and just nuke the boss.

11.2.

Tips

Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows can be used to avoid getting knocked back by the dying Volatile Infuser adds or to remove the Conductive Mark Icon Conductive Mark debuff. You can also use Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep to counter-act the knockback from the Volatile Infusers.

For more information, please refer to our Dathea guide.

12.

Kurog Grimtotem

12.1.

Talents

Caustic Spatter Icon Caustic Spatter will allow you to get damage on both the boss and the adds.

12.2.

Tips

You may want to delay your 2-minute cooldowns until the big add has spawned, to get full value of Caustic Spatter on the add during your cooldowns.

If there are overlapping Thunder Strike Icon Thunder Strike soaks, you can take both of these with Feint Icon Feint or Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows.

For more information, please refer to our Kurog Grimtotem guide.

13.

Broodkeeper Diurna

13.1.

Talents

This fight is about constantly controlling spawning adds and dealing with them. As such, we recommend an AoE/cleave-focused build if you are assigned to dealing with those. Otherwise, stick with the suggested single-target build and kill the boss while others deal with the adds.

13.2.

Tips

Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows can be used to reset the Diurna's Gaze Icon Diurna's Gaze debuff, or remove/prevent Frozen Shroud Icon Frozen Shroud.

For more information, please refer to our Broodkeeper Diurna guide.

14.

Raszageth the Storm-Eater

14.1.

Talents

The best build on Raszageth depends on what you are struggling with the most. You will get some decent value out of Caustic Spatter during the intermissions, but if those are already not an issue at all, boss damage will be better with Internal Bleeding instead.

14.2.

Tips

Shadowstep Icon Shadowstep can be used to quickly avoid taking damage from Tempest Wing Icon Tempest Wing.

While Cloak of Shadows Icon Cloak of Shadows is active, you are immune to both the damage and the knockback of all her abilities that knock you back.

Airborne Irritant Icon Airborne Irritant can be very useful for the Sparks.

For more information, please refer to our Raszageth guide.
